My safety blanket part 2

after a few hours the small woman woke up still in Jackie's arms, she felt a little light headed from all the crying, she looks up and locks eyes with the tall woman who was casually scrolling through her phone

"what you doin?"

Diane asks her voice small and quiet, Jackie tenses up for a few seconds quickly locking her phone and focusing her attention onto Diane

"nothing, just trying to pass time till you wake up"

Jackie replies smiling sweetly at the woman in her arms 

"well I'm up"

Diane says cuddling her head into Jackie's chest, Jackie scoffs loudly finding her adorable as always

"yeah, I can see that, how are you?"

Jackie asks nicely leaving a peck on Diane's head 

"better, thank you amor, for everything"

Diane lets out her voice laced in gratefulness and a hint of embarrassment, Jackie holds her closer 

"we talked about this, you don't have to thank me"

"I know but I can't help it, it just means a lot."

Diane lets out her voice shaking it was always like this after she'd have an attack the worse it was the more grateful she felt for Jackie after she would've calmed down, Jackie always did the same thing, she'd turn on her side and pull Diane into a bone crushing hug until she felt her heart beating against her own chest, she'd cover her face in pepper kisses until the small woman would chuckle and then she would gently whisper "you mean a lot". 

she loves seeing her eyes light up at the words, her beautiful smile expanding across her face, she looks so beautiful happy, she's beautiful. 

"are we still not up?"

Diane asks

"we were a few minutes ago, I asked Jenji to postpone the scene cause you weren't feeling well, she understood so you're free to go"

Jackie says smiling after seeing Diane let out a breath of relief, she didn't have the energy to smile, unless it was for Jackie 

"what about you? can you leave as well?"

Diane asks upset that she said you and not we

"in a few I need to do an interview before, I'm up in a few minutes actually I better get going, I was hoping you'd wake up a little earlier so I'd have a little more time to get ready, but it's okay, if you do leave text  me when you get home please?"

Jackie says looking at her her eyes filled with concern and worry, Diane gives her a small smile as she tilts her head finding Jackie's love and care for her to be the most beautiful thing she's ever seen, she breaks eye contact and fidgets with her fingers biting on her lower lip

"I was actually wondering if I could crash at your place"

she says as she sees Jackie quickly picking up an outfit and starting to put on her make up 

"well don't crash, that pretty face might get bruised, we wouldn't want that"

Jackie smiles at her through the large mirror in front of her as she applied some blush, she smiles seeing Diane's smile getting wider thinking "fuck" as she felt butterflies taking over her stomach, she quickly applies lipstick and eyeshadow needing to leave the room before she'd say anything more 

"I'll take that as a yes, why didn't you wake me up before? you're gonna end up being late"

Diane asks blushing at Jackie's comment
