peanuts part 2

Maritza woke up startled, she finds Gloria looking down at her sweetly

"it's ok mama, it was just a bad dream"

Gloria says caressing her hair slowly, but Maritza hops out of bed now sitting immediately looking around the room, Gloria, Daya, Blanca, Aleida- Flaca? where is Flaca 

"she came back from the meeting and went to get you some of your favourite candy she wants to cheer you up"

Daya explains smiling nicely at Maritza knowing what she was thinking, as she finishes the sentence Flaca  walks in her eyes immediately going to Maritza's bed, she smiles seeing her up, seeing her eyes and face relax once she see her

"hey angel"

Flaca says sitting next to her and giving her her favourite candy M&Ms, a pack of milky buttons and a sunflower 

"sunflowers are like you and me, when we see dark times we help each other to enlighten our way out of a dark place, when sunflowers don't have sun they turn to each other and they are made up of thousands little flowers, like us, but we love every tiny flower of each other"

she explains adorably as she place the sunflower onto her lap slowly making sure that her movement was slow and that her hands didn't touch her as she didn't want her to flinch, but after a few seconds Maritza was clinging to Flaca's neck kissing her jawline and cheeks and every place that her lips could touch, the spanish harlem looked at them in awe, Daya even felt herself get a little bit emotional, she leans over to Gloria who was smiling at the hugged Latinas and whispers

"I can't wait to mention this at their wedding, it'll be perfect"

Gloria gives her a slight smirk in agreement, they all knew that the two were gonna end up together at some point, it's just a matter of time till they realized it, and seeing them slowly realizing little by little was the best

"so Karma how are you not gonna let this slide huh?"

Gloria asks interested in what Flaca's plan was 

"we just wait, what needed to be done was done"

Maritza pulls away from Flaca's embrace and looks at hr shocked

"you promised me"

FLaca nods sweetly

"I'm still keeping that promise, I'm not getting into any trouble I'm right here next to you angel"

"what did you do?"

"a lady never tells"

"cameras- Fla I can't-"

"and you're not they don't work for shit, besides I didn't do anything, I was with Caputo then they needed some help with electrical and asked for me, then I bought a pack of M&Ms for me and thought you'd like some so I went back and got you a packet and I saw these cute sunflowers in Red's garden and begged her to give me one and she's actually really nice so"

Flaca explains calmly drawing soothing circles on Maritza's back

"if something happens to him-"

"oh and then CO bell called me from the CO bubble cause I had to tell her something from Caputo so yeah, I had a little chat with her but then she got a phone call so yeah-"

"you're the only person who makes me not want to die in here, if you're taken away it'll probably be over for me and I'm not even trying to threaten you, I wanna live but I also know I wanna live because of you AND with you"

Maritza says her voice shaking scared of what Flaca might've done, she know how far she'd go for her and she didn't want him alive but she didn't want Flaca to be held accountable for his death
