"Harry?" I called his name as I waved my hand in front of his face. He was still stuck in a trance.
"Harry? Hello?" I asked, waving my hand faster.
He blinked twice and starred at me for a few moments.
"Uh sorry, I guess I just uh, zoned out." Harry explained, starring weirdly at me, he almost looked kind of tired.
I hesitantly starred back at him, trying to figure out what it was that made him suddenly act like a lifeless zombie.
A knock came to the front door, breaking our odd gaze.
"Um, I-I'll go get it." Harry stuttered while slowly walking towards the door.
The knocking grew louder and faster the longer Harry took to answer it.
I stood outside the kitchen doorway, in the hall, I was far away but still close enough to see and hear who was responsible for the irritating knocking.
As soon as Harry opened the door Zayn suddenly burst in and started pacing back and forth in the hallway.
He looked furious.
Harry slammed the front door shut and turned to face Zayn. He seen me lurking in the far end of the hallway and quickly walked over to me instead.
"Jessica make yourself scarce." Harry said through gritted teeth.
"W-what?" I stuttered. Amazed by Harry's sudden change of character. He seemed to be back to his usual self.
"Go upstairs, I don't want you to witness any of this. You don't know what Zayn is capable of when he's this angry." Harry warned, grabbing my elbow and leading me towards the stairs.
He left me at the bottom of the stair case and quickly entered the sitting room. Which is where, I'm guessing, the very angry Zayn was.
I decided to listen to Harry this time and trudged up the stairs.
After a few minutes of aimlessly wondering around I noticed I was on the third floor.
And I was suddenly met with the familiar door of the library.
I slowly turned the door handle until I heard the click.
"Yes!" I whispered to myself in victory. It was open.
I walked inside, closing the door behind me.
I took in the smell of all the books. A smell that reminded me of my childhood.
I hummed in appreciation.
I could see myself spending a lot of time in this room. Thousands of books just waiting, wanting to be read.
I glanced through all the different categories.
Fiction, non-fiction, classics, disorders.
Disorders? Why would Harry dedicate a whole section to disorders.
I became very intrigued by this section. Maybe there was a book here that would explain Harry.
I scanned through all the titles, all of the covers dark, dull colours. But one stood out. It was a plain white cover with one word as a title.
Trapped.
I kept the book in my hands and slowly walked over to one of the armchairs in front of the fire.
I sat down and began to read.
Trapped.
Stockholm syndrome.
