After we had finished eating we headed to the museum. That was pretty fun, but I couldn't keep my mind off of William which made it less enjoyable.
"So what do you want to do now?" Jaron asked.
I was honestly ready to go back to my room and lay down to drown in my thoughts, but I knew that wasn't a good idea. I also knew that Jaron wasn't ready yet and even though he would do whatever I wanted to do, I didn't want to be selfish.
"You decide."
It was almost 9 now. The museum was big so we took a while in there alone. I couldn't really think of anything else I really wanted to do.
Jaron and I roamed the streets a bit just talking and looking around seeing if we could find anything else to do.
The museum had gotten hot so I took my coat off and didn't bother putting it back on since it wasn't really too cold out. After a few more blocks though, I was tired of holding it and walking and was ready to go back to my room until I heard Jaron's voice speak up again.
"What's that line for?" he asked, pointing across the street.
"I don't know" I shrugged.
He began to cross the street and instinctively I followed.
"Excuse me, what's this line for?" Jaron asked the person all the way in the back as we got in line behind them.
"Some party my friend dragged me to" he responded examining first Jaron, then me.
This guy was very handsome. Though he had a large nose and lips, it seemed to work for him. His goatee, hair, and eyebrows were all well groomed and only after I was done admiring his face did I realize he had braces.
"Happy Birthday" he then said causing me to snap back into reality.
Damn Jaron.
"Ugh, it's actually in 2 days, but thank you" I said nervously.
"Yeah I know, your friend here told me." I gave Jaron a death glare which didn't seem to really bother him.
"You guys should come, it's still early."
I simply shrugged. I was screaming on the inside, but I had to play it cool on the outside.
We waited in line for about 20 minutes before we were finally in the front. The guy we had just met was already inside and since no one else had gotten in line, it was just Jaron and I.
"$10" the person collecting the money said. We each handed him a 10 dollar bill and went inside.
The inside was loud and already full of people. I looked around trying to find the mystery guy, but he was nowhere to be found so I eventually gave up.
Fortunately, I was actually enjoying myself. The DJ was playing good music and I was actually in the mood to dance so that's what me and Jaron did most of the time when we weren't sitting at the bar taking a break.
"This party is pretty fun!" I yelled to Jaron over the music.
He just nodded in agreement, I guess not wanting to have to scream over the music to be heard.
It started to occur to me that I was probably only having fun thanks to the liquor I was drinking from a few guys offering to buy me drinks. I decided to let them to make up for all of the time I've spent in my room doing nothing. Plus, Jaron kept telling everyone that it was my birthday so I decided that I might as well make the best of it, only now I had to pee.
I scanned the club, looking through the hundreds of sweaty bodies to find the nearest restroom. I finally spotted the restroom sign in the far right and quickly got up and rushed without telling Jaron where I was going. I didn't realize how fast I was moving because in no time I had reached the bathroom.
I rushed inside and to the nearest open stall that I could find. I didn't like the idea of using urinals and so I usually avoided them at all cost.
After peeing for what felt like forever, I zipped my pants back up, and flushed the toilet. I hadn't noticed, but the bathroom was actually cleaner than you expected. Just as I began to walk out of the bathroom stall, I felt a trail of vomit moving up my throat and turned around just making it into the toilet.
I sat there to make sure that I was fine before getting up and going to the sink to rinse my face off with some cool water.
I pulled my phone out of my back pocket to see that it was only 11:22, still pretty early. All of the liquor I had drank tho was finally catching up to me and I decided it was best for me to leave so that I could be safe in my own bedroom.
I found my way back over to Jaron to let him know that I was going to leave.
"You sure?" he asked. "It's still early."
"Yeah, I think I drank too much, and plus I'm feeling kind of nauseous now."
"Ok, well I guess I'll leave with you."
"No, it's fine." Jaron has already began grabbing his things and gave me a confused look.
"You sure?" he asked almost as if he was unsure.
"Positive."
Jaron wasn't really the friend that would leave me by myself, but I didn't really want his fun to have to end, even if it was my birthday. I could tell that he didn't really want to leave so after a little persuading and promising that I'd let him know as soon as I got back to my room, he agreed that I could go alone.
I pulled out my phone to call my lyft so that I could be on my way. I wasn't really in too much of a rush so I called a lyft line because I was cheap and I figured that since we weren't too far from campus, if someone else was in the car, I'd still probably get dropped off first.
Your driver is arriving in 1 min. Look for Joseph in a white 2019 Mercedes Benz.
Oouuu.
I put on my coat, grabbed my fanny pack and made my way out of the club after giving Jaron a goodbye hug. He'd probably get bored in about an hour or so and be headed back to campus then.
It was a little colder than I remember when I walked outside so I was glad that I had put my coat on.
I looked around and saw that the car was parked a little further down the street since the front of it was pretty much packed.
I began to walk towards the car, feeling a little sluggish. There was someone in the back seat on the passengers side already so I made my way around to the other side and let myself in.
I didn't really pay much attention to who was in the car because I was just ready to get home.
"Terrance?" the driver asked.
I just nodded and leaned my head against the window. I went to close my eyes until I heard a familiar voice.
"Birthday boy?" he asked.
