Terrance is a college freshman who pretty much kept to himself. He did everything either alone or with the one friend he has made at school. He wasn't very social and didn't get out much; that is until one day he meets Connor, an adventurous college...
I slowly felt myself regaining consciousness. I was careful not to make any sudden movements, not wanting to make it obvious.
I slightly opened my eyes, squinting as much as possible so that my eyes appeared to be closed. I knew that I wasn't really good at that, but I needed to scope out how many others were around.
I could feel that we were moving so I knew that I must be in a vehicle of some sort, headed to who knows where.
My attempt at squinting my eyes failed. The movement happened a lot faster than I expected and against my wishes, my eyes had seemingly jolted open.
"I think this one's waking up." The voice was coming from the guy directly in front of me. I didn't know what was to follow, so I acted on my first instinct.
Without second thought, I lunged forward with all of the strength in me, swinging my cuffed hands over my head to the front of me, and attacked the guy sitting in front of me, his back slamming against the side of the van.
The guy wasn't wearing any armor which only made what I was planning to do a lot easier. Being a line backer, it wasn't hard for me to overpower people and you best believe I used that to my advantage.
I pinned him down with my body weight and grabbed his head, continuously banging it against the van door. I'm not sure, but I think I may have heard several cracks.
My adrenaline was at its peak and I was putting all of my force into each slam. I heard screams coming from my sister which only made me angrier, remembering what she had said right before I had lost consciousness.
"HOLD HIM DOWN!" I heard my father scream, but I think he knew better than anyone that I couldn't be easily overpowered. They'd have to sedate me if anything.
At that moment, I felt a sharp sting in the area I had gotten shot. I let out a scream that became more muffled as I felt my body entering a paralyzed state.
As I fell back, I saw SB headed back toward I guess where he was sitting on the van. It was weird that he seemed to know exactly where I had gotten shot. The needle he had stabbed into my chest seemed so conveniently place.
The difference between me falling unconscious the last time and now though, I hadn't completely lost consciousness this time.
I instead fell paralyzed and though I could not move, my brain remained conscious and I was still aware of everything going on around me. At my size and with all of the adrenaline running through my veins, I can't say I'm too surprised.
I felt completely helpless and useless, but I guess this was better than not knowing what was going on around me at all.
I listened to all of the dialogue for the remainder of the ride, soaking up as much information as I possibly could.
I heard everything from my sorry excuse of a sister's slick remarks towards Terrance to his sassy questions in response. Though my physic being did not show it, I was mentally laughing because I knew he was only doing it to get under their skin.
One thing said in particular stood out to me though.
I shot this one right here and I WILL do it again. The voice came from SB.
I couldn't see who he was pointing to, but the emphasis on the word Will made it seem a lot like he was referring to me. He was almost like a brother to me.
I felt the van coming to a stop as we approached our destination. My body laid there, still, waiting to be moved.
There wasn't anything that I could do but sit and wait and so that's what I did. It seemed like forever before someone had finally come to my rescue.
I could tell by the way that I was being carried and the fact that it was only one person that it was SB. I wanted with everything in me to attack him to but I literally couldn't.
He was lucky. I felt beyond betrayed that he'd even do this, but it was a feeling I was far too used to. There was always a constant feeling of resentment towards my sister and father.
I felt even more disrespected with the fact that SB was dragging my body to where he was taking me when he could have simply carried me. It didn't help that I was still in only a hospital gown.
When he had finally gotten me there, he just dropped me as if I was some heavy box he'd been carrying all day and I heard as his footsteps walked away.
I heard muffled conversations going on, but I couldn't make out any of the voices or what was going on. I tried and tried to move myself, but this all just felt like a bad case of sleep paralysis.
The conversations died down and I sat there waiting for what was next. Time really seemed to be moving in slow motion, especially because I couldn't do anything but count the seconds that passed.
I soon felt myself being dragged once more, to where, I could not tell you. This time though, I was being dragged by two sets of hands.
After that happened, I was once again left alone. I listened as both pairs of feet headed off. I continued trying to move and for some reason felt as if I was getting closer and closer.
I stopped as I heard footsteps nearing again.
WILL! CONNOR! WAKE UP! PLEASE!
Hearing Terrance's voice warmed my heart and only motivated me to try to break out of my paralyzed state even more, for both my sake and his. With him having called out Connor's name too, I assumed he was near as well and that only made things worse.
I felt my fingers moving at my side as I struggled to break from my paralysis. I managed to slip one of my eyes slightly open which was weird because I had failed at doing so earlier.
I could see clearly enough to see that Terrance was dragging Connor's body into his warehouse office. And then I realized; we're at Connor's warehouse.
I felt more comfortable knowing that I was somewhere that I was familiar with, but it made since to come here seeing as though it was partially an inside job, but things just may not have been going as planned.
"Kiddo" I tried to get out, but it came out as barely a whisper.
I began to try and squirm around in attempt to regain my strength and full control of my body.
I felt my leg jerk and my foot kicked something. I put all of my strength into that one leg so that I could bring the object closer. Moving my toes around the object, I felt what it was, a gun.
I did my best to kick the gun towards me so that I could hide it under my leg because that would sure come in handy.
"I think he's moving" I heard Adeline say. "What do we do?"
"I'll take care of this one" I heard SB say, followed a gun cock.
I braced myself as much as I could, but nothing could have prepared me for what happened next.
The sound of the gun fired as I rolled over, just out of the way of the bullet, grabbing the gun that once lie under my leg and shot two critical shots, one at SB who had already had his gun out and then another at Adeline who was preparing to do the same.
Everything seemed to happen in one motion, against my own will, no pun attended.
I sat there breathless for some reason, gun still in hand as Adeline and SB lie on the ground bleeding out.
