A few days have passed:

Rose hands over an arm to Nero. "Here you go. Seems to be Nico's latest model", She says as Nero gives her the red stones. "I'll test it out immediately", He says with a smile.

Rose and Nero have been getting along pretty well over the past time.

"Be careful out there", Rose says. "I promise."
"Aw, y'all together?", Nico suddenly interrupts. "No, we're not", Both protest at the same time with flushed cheeks. "Okay, if we're going to talk about this you're waisting my time", Nero says and hops off the van to do what he has to do. Killing demons to save the city.

Rose looks after Nero and is amazed at how much his skills have changed.
"Look at my baby go! With my artsy hands and a badass guy like him you best believe me kicking demon ass is fun", Nico says passionately.

After Nero slices the last demon into half he places his sword back on his back and pants a little.
Rose continues to stare in awe as she doesn't notice that Nero is standing right in front of her clearing his throat multiple times to get her attention. Suddenly Nico nudges the blonde's side. "Huh? Oh, sorry! I-I just thought what you did there was... pretty amazing", She says.
Nero's cheeks start to flush at her compliment. He continues to nod and mutters a "thank you" while scratching the back of his neck.
Rose hums looking away as she feels very awkward.

"Wow, would you look at the time! I have to prepare for the next step of our plan. See you guys later!"
"Rose, wait-" Nero tries to catch up with her but as he reaches the van there's no trace of the blonde girl.
Nero curses under his breath as Nico walks up behind him. "Hidden love", She asks with a smirk. "Yeah..." Nico punches his shoulder.
"She's not going to be your girl if you don't run after her. Maybe there's a guy waiting right around the corner and she's gone!"

Nero curses again. "Dammit, you're right, okay?!"
Nico points at the destroyed road in front of them. "She's waiting for you! Come on! Skedaddle!" The mechanic gives Nero a small push into the direction. "Go get her, tiger."
He nods and runs off.

As he runs he starts to think.
The city is overflowing with demons. Why did she run off alone? I have to find her before they do otherwise she might be in trouble!

He picks up the pace as the picture of Rose lying in her own blood crosses his mind.
