"Rose, I... love you."

Rose stops breathing after hearing what Nero said. At the moment there is only one thing that comes into her mind that she could say.
"B-but what about Kyrie?"
"I told you, Kyrie and I aren't together anymore. Remember when I told you that I realized something?" Rose nods.
"I realized that it was a mistake to let you go. I realized that I only had feelings for you."
The blonde gulps in shock.
"I've lived with that regret for years and when I saw you coming out of that van... I thought you hated me."

Nero stops his flow of words as Rose carefully cups his pink cheeks.
"I could never hate you", She whispers and shyly places her lips onto his cheek for a peck. "As much I wanted to back then I couldn't. I wasn't even mad at Kyrie."
A chuckle escapes Nero's lips. He wants to let it all out.
"When Urizen took you I was worried to death. I was really about to slice his head off."
"That would have gotten you killed", Rose says as she chuckles.
"I wouldn't mind if it's for you."

Nero pulls Rose closer and cups her tender face in his large hands. With his thumb he brushes over her soft pink lips almost lusting for them.
He inches closer and shyly presses his lips on her soft ones.
He's been waiting for this moment for years and so has she.

It's the perfect moment.
A perfect sunset with the perfect woman.

As they break the kiss Nero leans his forehead against Rose's who just softly smiles at him.
"So will you officially be mine", He asks.
"How could I say no", Rose responds and hugs Nero once again.
"I love you, Rose", Nero whispers into her ear. "I love you too."
Nero's warmth surrounding her is all she needs right now. Rose buries her face into Nero's neck to hide her bright red face.

Suddenly she hears a noise, looks up and sees a light shadow wandering on the roof. Her eyes widen as she realizes what it is. "Nero, look out!"
She throws herself in front of the white haired male as he is too confused to react on time.
Before he can even react the Riot which has snuck up to them lacerates Rose's entire back with his claws.
She yelps in pain as she clings to the shocked Nero who immediately pulls out the Blue Rose to shoot the Riot off the roof into its demise.

"Rose?" His hands are covered in blood as she slowly slides to the ground barely conscious.
Nero cups her cold face as tears start to stream down his cheeks. "Rose, please. Hang on", He whimpers and calls Nico for help.
Rose's bloody hand caresses Nero's face as Nico climbs up the ladder.
"What the hell happened", She shrieks as she sees Rose in Nero's arms. "We have to get her inside, now!"
"Perhaps I can be of help."
Both Nero and Nico turn their heads to face V who is leaning on his cane with a worried expression plastered onto his face.

His hair turns white and Nightmare falls from the sky onto the ground. Carefully Nightmare picks the wounded girl up and places her into the garage while the other three climb down the ladder.
"Nico, please tell me you can do something", Nero yells as he kneels next to the now unconscious Rose.
Nico looks through every toolbox she has to find what she is looking for.

Nico has never seen Nero this emotional and worried. Seeing him like this does not only worry but also pressures her. And now that her best friend has been hurt by a demon she wants to help no matter what.

As Nico finds what she needs she runs over to Rose with a pair of scissors, a big tweezer and a green gem that Nero brought back from one of his demon hunts.

Nico kneels down next to Rose and turns her onto her stomach to cut open her top at the back where the wound is.
With the pair of tweezers she tries to remove every piece of fabric that may still be stuck to her back. "Nero get me some water and pure alcohol."
The devastated male jumps up and follows Nico's orders by heart.
With the water and alcohol Nico tries to clean the wounds which only leads to Rose yelping and fidgeting. Nero and V try to hold her down as Nico does her job.

As she removes the last piece of fabric the mechanic takes the green gem and a hammer to smash it into tiny pieces.
She places the tiny pieces onto Rose's scratch wounds and they dissolve into her almost immediately causing the bleeding to stop and her scratches to close up a little.

"This should keep her out of danger", Nico sighs as she picks up a thread and a needle. "Will she be okay", Nero cries as he squeezes Rose's hand.
"Yes. Now we only have to sew up the wounds and let them heal over time. Luckily green gems speed up the process so if you find any laying around take them with you."
Nero nods like an obedient puppy as he watches Nico sew up Rose's wounds.

"She was lucky", V says. "How did a demon even get here", Nero yells out of frustration. "She got hurt because of me. This is all my fault."
"Oh, shut up", Nico says. "If it weren't for you you both would be dead by now."
"She has a point."
Nero lets out a deep sigh as helps Nico with Rose.

As they wrap everything up Rose is sleeping tightly. "I'm going to take her to my room", Nero says as he carefully picks her up. "I want to keep an eye on her."
Without any protests Nero takes Rose into his room where he carefully places her onto his bed. Seeing her hurt yet sleeping peacefully was unimaginable for him until this moment.

The male lays down next to her and caresses her pale cheek.
"Goodnight, Rose. I love you."
He gives her a kiss on her forehead before falling into dreamland just like her.
