I skipped that day of school, because my dad insisted I spend the day getting ready for the dance. So, pretty much I was ranting about how stupid the whole situation was, and I spent three minutes braiding a piece of my hair so it stood out of my beanie and ten minutes figuring out, how the hell to tie a bowtie.

Once the time came closer and closer to the dreaded hour I sat and groaned. That is until my phone rang. It was Ty, I knew he wouldn't text me. We had struggles with him trying to use the voice typer thing, but it came out as weird messages so we stuck to him just calling. I picked up and his voice rang through the other end.

"Hey beautiful!" He shouted flirtatiously. "I'm on my way there, I just picked up Julie. You ready for the time of our lives."

"Ready as I'll ever be." I grumbled into the phone. "And don't call me beautiful." I rather throw myself into a shark tank then do this right now, but I knew these people. I had no choice.

"Don't be such a sourpuss." I heard Julie yell into the phone. "We will see you in a bit."

"Yea, you too." I mumbled, before hanging up. I pocked my phone and sat in my chair by the door anxiously. I didn't know why I felt so odd. I didn't know why, but something in my gut really didn't want to go to this dance. I just wanted to high tail it out of there and retreat. I knew I would stick to my guns and go, but I couldn't get the ominous feeling out of my head that something was going to happen.

Something big.

When I heard the knock on the door and I opened it to reveal a pretty decent looking Ty, and Macy with a little bow on her head. I have to admit though, Tyson was exceptional in the blue jacket and undone white shirt look. It was probably because he couldn't do up the buttons but, he still looked favorable.

"Hello Ty." I grumbled.

"Hey Mia." He greeted with a slight bow. "Ready for the best night of our lives?"

"Just another night." I mumbled, as I rolled past him towards the limo. Julie got out to help me a little, and get the chair into the trunk. Once we were settled inside, Ty gave us his signature smile and pulled out a bottle from underneath his seat.

"A toast, to the people in this world I can stand." He cheered, raising the bottle above his head.

"What is that?" Julie asked.

"Champagne." He grinned. "I stole it from my parents. Where are those damn wine glasses?" Julie reached over and handed him the expensive glasses. "Thanks, he said. Reaching over and feeling around before grabbing the cork remover. He pulled it and smiled.

"Here, ill pour it." Julie laughed, taking the bottle from his hands and pouring us our drinks.

"Cheers to, making it this far. And hoping that Ty doesn't get too drunk that he blows chunks on my dress." Julie yelled, raising her cup in the air.

"Cheers." Me and Ty copied before downing our glasses. I loved the taste of Champagne, I had drunk it before when Ty would steal it from his parents. Other than that, my dad didn't drink and Julie's parents couldn't afford his kind of champagne.

Once we got there, we were on the verge of tipsy. Well, at least Julie was. She couldn't handle her alcohol as well as me and Ty could. When we got in I could fully examine Julie's dress. A blue silky dress with one missing sleeve and a slit in the side. Not to modest, but not too shameful either. She looked nice, it suited her brown hair and freckled face. The color even matched her big eyes, they were almost the same color.

We walked into the gym and saw a herd of teenagers, dancing and grinding on each other like a sexual frenzy. I wrinkled my nose at them and moved to sit at one of the tables, outlining the dance floor.
