I woke up with frozen sweat on me, and Ty grabbing my arm tightly, and soothingly. I looked over and saw a worried expression plaguing his face.

"Mia, are you awake?" I sat up quickly and grabbed his arm back, squeezing tightly and nervously. His arm was the only thing that kept my hands from shaking. "Mia?"

"I am here." I told him, calming my breaths and watching him. His body relaxing with mine. "It was just a nightmare." He took my body into his larger one and hugged me tighter.

"I got you." He mumbled into my white hair.

I thought for a moment, about how much I loved this. I loved him comforting me and I loved the fact that he cared.

I was so used to Simon being here though.

It was odd and different. As long as I could remember we had Simon, now he had disappeared. I couldn't settle my guilty conscious for leaving him, we did wait, sure. I kept telling myself though, looking for a hurt invisible boy was impossible.

We would find him again, it was inevitable.

He had my beanie. So like hell I was going to find him. I wasn't going to let him disappear with it.

Me and Ty sat there for a long time, just silently comforting each other through everything. I wondered if this is what normal people did? What normal couples did? Did they comfort each other through nightmares, though everything that was wrong in our small world.

Something told me that they did, and maybe we could be each other's slight touch of normalcy in our crazy world.

I closed my eyes for a moment and when I opened them, we were stopped in another state.

"Where are we?" I asked, drowsily. I quickly realized that I had a dreamless sleep, nuzzled next to Ty. I heard Ty mumble something before sitting up.

"I have no idea."

"The sign says 'Welcome to Georgia'." Florida alerted us, apparently she was the most aware of our surroundings. "That doesn't sound like Florida."

"Yea, we are just at a pit-stop." Ty said, stretching slightly and getting up. "You guys hungry?"

"Yea!" Florida bounded up. I just shrugged, I didn't really feel hungry but I didn't want to sit on the bus anymore. We headed off and set up my chair quickly before heading inside.

There were only a few people there, drinking odd smelling drinks and looking slightly disheveled. Ty stood there for a moment.

"Anything that looks appetizing?" I looked around and paused at a familiar smell.

"McDonalds chicken nuggets." She told me. "These are your favorite food." I put another in my mouth and looked up at her with a slight smile.

"I can see why." I stated. "Mcnuggets dull the pain of existence."

"I want Mcnuggets." I told him, nonchalantly. He shrugged and we went over the line. A few minutes, and a large box of nuggets, one happy meal and a burger later we were full and ready to continue our journey.

We even stopped at the small store that Ty explained to me, was called a gift shop. I picked out a few things for us, a suitcase, a stuffed bear for Florida and a hat for me.

After I explained the design to Ty he told us there was a picture of the American Flag on the front. I didn't know what that meant but Ty liked it so I wore it. Besides, it suited me, I needed something on my head.

Once we were all settled on the bus again, we watched it slowly roll to start again.

"We are almost there." Ty sighed, shuffling back into his seat.
