As we were driving I got my phone back from my dad. I immediately called Ty.

"Ty?"

"Hey, I am here. I did what your dad said, I-."

"Stop." I told him, gripping the phone in my hand. "Don't tell me where you sent the evacuation." I could hear his confusion on the other end.

"I have been compromised. Me and Simon, Burnham knows everything we hear, everything we see." I gripped the phone so tightly I thought it would break. "I can't go with you."

We were both silent on the ends.

"Mia, I am so sorry. I love you ok. I love you so much." He stammered from the other end. I could hear his worry and his stress. I couldn't focus on calming him down right now.

I could only focus on him.

"I am headed to the warehouse. If Burnham wants me, he can come get me."

"I'm coming too."

"No." I growled. "You are going to stay and be safe. Stay at the evacuation point! Please."

There was no way in hell I would let him be there. Absolutely not. Anything could happen out there, I couldn't protect him.

"Why?" He argued, I couldn't hear him tense up on the other side. His voice gets shaky and the sounds of his footsteps. "Why should I stay?"

"Because, Ty. Because I love you Ty, now get back and don't come to this fight." I heard his steady breathing on the other end.

"You know that's why I have to come, right. Because I love you Mia, and I have to be there to protect you."

"I don't need protecting." I growled.

"I know." He said, I could almost hear his smile. He hung up before I could even stop him. I looked back at my dad and Simon.

The blond drove nervously as his hands fidgeted on the wheel. My dad just watched my every move, like if he took his eyes off me I would explode. I looked over at my dad.

"You aren't going stay for the fight? Are you?" I asked. He just looked down and shook his head.

"I can drive around, make sure that everyone got out safely. I feel like, this is something you have to deal with on your own." I smiled at him for a moment while he squeezed my shoulder caringly.

"You ready for a fight?" I asked. The blonde looked at me for a second while I cracked my knuckles to hide my nervousness, hide my fidgeting and fear. "Because there is going to be one."

"I don't want to fight." Simon said nervously. "I don't want to be a weapon. I don't want to be a monster again."

"You're not. You won't be. After this, after we win. We will never have to fight again." He remained tense on the wheel, I looked out the window impatiently.

This was about to go down. We were going to face him, and we were going to take him down.

We were going to fight.

And we were going to win.

Chapter Twenty-Six

Before we even got there we could smell the smoke. If our worries and anxieties weren't back enough the dark aura in the air made it so much worse.

When we drove up, the first thing I noticed was fire. The warehouse was up in flames. Dark and thick smoke piled up around us.

We drove right inside and crashed through the decaying wall. Sending concrete and rubble in every direction.
