After a while of driving around and Ty insisting that we had to buy something nice to wear for what he had planned, we ended up at an extremely fancy clothes shop on Rodeo Drive.

"Ty, we don't need this." I told him. It's true, we could be spending money on food reserves or anything else. Not this, not fancy clothes that he won't even see me in.

"Nonsense, you deserve it. And I think you would look amazing in most of the stuff here."

"You won't even see me in anything." I complained. He put his hands on his face in desperation and moaned.

"Just, you will see it. I am buying you a present but, I know you won't except that. So go buy your own present, and except that I am doing something nice for you." He moaned, getting out and setting up my wheelchair, carefully like always. "So go and buy something pretty, I'll wait in the car." He shimmed around in his pocket for a second and pulling out a card and feeling it. "I think this is the credit card."

"So, you telling me that you trust a semi-unstable, ice powered, angry, wheelchair bound teenager that may or may not snap in the middle of the store? Probably capable of killing thousands, you trust that in the store alone?" I said, somewhat confused.

"No." He stated. "I trust you."

I shut up at that, he forced the credit card into my hand and smiled at me.

"Go buy something for yourself." I looked at him, before accepting the card and turning to go to the far too exquisite store.

I can't believe, he trusted me. I didn't even trust me. I looked around as soon as I passed the automatic doors and paused. There were hundreds of people in here, all dressed nicely, talking amongst themselves and looking happy. They were all so carefree and innocent, not knowing about anything that went on outside their bubbles.

They were naive and ignorant; I wish I could be like that.

The sounds of vague conversation everywhere and some cheesy pop song playing in the background, all of the seemingly calming atmosphere put me at edge.

I could feel the frost grow on my arms and my chair as I sat there in almost a panic. I didn't know what to do with myself, I was all alone in this.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jumped, ready to attack. I saw a middle-aged lady in a work uniform smiling at me.

"Do you need any help today?" She asked. I shook my head at her and she smiled and walked away. I rolled off, looking for almost anything formal enough to get out of here.

I tensed up when I heard another voice talking to me.

"Looking for anything mam?"

"No." I growled, ignoring him and continuing to eye the mannequins as I rolled by.

They were mostly lengthy dresses with low and deep necklines and an assortment of colors and patterns. Long dresses wouldn't work with my chair and showing my barely existing bust to the world was not my goal.

"Looking for anything special?" Another person said, walking up to me.

"Leave me alone." I practically growled, rolling past and skimming the isles for something acceptable. I stopped at something white and somewhat glittery hanging off of a stand.

The jacket was black and hung short on the chest and the bodice resembled closely to the top half of a tuxedo, with a collared neck and a black bow tie. The skirt on the other hand was white, and fluffy and seemed to almost look like a cloud.

I was never one for clothes, but wow it was beautiful.

"It truly is a beautiful dress, isn't it?" I peered over to see a middle aged, dark skinned woman in a sleek dress and a much too poufy scarf standing next to me. "You would look really pretty in it Mia."
