Chapter 25

Dougie: what shall we call them babe?

Paige: I haven't really thought about that yet. I like the name Charlie or Bobby for a boy and Phoebe or Tia for a girl.

Dougie: yeah they sound nice names. But I do love the name Paige. (laughs slightly) A beautiful name for a beautiful princess.

Paige: (laughs) but not as sexy as Dougie.

She smiled while we swapped babies for a bit and I smiled back at her.

Dougie: I think we should call them Charlie and Phoebe. But it's up to u babes.

Paige: yeah, I love both those names the best I think. Charlie and Phoebe. (Smiles)

~later that day~

We hadn't been to see Tom and Emily yet since what happened with the lift and our babies, so while Danny and angel went to buy baby stuff for us I decided to go check up on them both and let them know what's happened.

I walked down the corridor until I got to toms room. I knocked on the door and walked in to see a healthier and better looking Tom sat up in bed eating.

Dougie: hey mate! How ya doin? U look a lot better

Tom: hey yeah a lot better actually. Thanks mate!

I walked over to the seat next to him.

Dougie: u look it. so... Erm well Paige has had our twins now. Early actually. I'm now a dad! I can't believe it!

Tom: omg wow! That's just great mate! UR A DAD! Yes! Good one mate (laughs) I'm so happy for ya. So how's Paige and the girls?

Dougie: erm... Well Paige is doing brilliant. (Not knowing how to tell him about Emily) and erm... Well... Angel is... Is great too. Everything's going fine between her and Danny at the moment. And... Erm I haven't told u yet but... Emily's in the hospital.

Tom: WHAT! IS SHE OK? WHATS HAPPENED?

Dougie: don't worry she's ok. I'm not quite sure but I think she was on her way to u when she saw that people were crowded around ur room so she panicked and I think she fainted. So she's just been kept in for a bit. That's all.

Tom: oh... That's good. I'm glad she's ok.

Dougie: Any way, I better go see Emily now. I'll tell her u said hi. Cya later alligator.

Then I left the room and headed down to Emily's ward.

When I got there I walked into the first room on the left to see a pale looking Emily. I knocked on the door and walked in.

Dougie: hey Emily, how ya doing?

Emily: I'm ok I guess. Thanks

She didn't really seem like she wanted to talk. So I kept standing up.

Dougie: so toms ok.

Emily: u what?! He's... He's ok?

Dougie: yeah. Why wouldn't he be?

Emily: but I saw doctors and nurses crowded around his room rushing in.

Dougie: no no! He's fine Emily. Don't worry he's perfectly ok. He just passed out cause he tried to get up out of his room to have a walk around but he wasn't supposed to get up and move so he passed out on the floor at the door of his room. But he's ok now.

Emily: oh... (Sighs) ok that's good then.

Silence for a while.

Dougie: (trying to break the silence) Paige has had our babies. Im now daddy Dougie to Charlie and Phoebe.

Emily: wow! That's great! I'm so happy for u both! How's Paige?

Dougie: she's good. The babies are too. Anyway I'll be off now. I better get back to Paige. Nice taking to ya and I'm glad ur ok. Bye

Emily: bye

And I walked off back up to Paige's room when I saw a nurse rushing into Paige's room and I heard a baby crying....
