Yesterday was just another free day and exploring the grounds so they wouldn't get lost. Alec remembers all the guidance counselors making ugly remarks about them. Alec was just going to have to learn how to push it off since he was going to be around them for a long time. The girl that Magnus had stared at was not only leading the charge but that was also looking at him. Alec couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous. Several times, Alec told himself to calm down and that this probably meant nothing. Besides, he barely even knew Magnus so how could he possibly know anything about him or the girl?

Now with today, it would be the first day of counseling activities. Girls go with girls and the boys are with the boys. Malachi would be monitoring from time to time to see if the counselors were doing their jobs right. The two, teenage boys were named Horace Dearborn and Manuel Villalobos. Horace had thick, brown hair, hazel eyes and pale skin, Manuel had black hair, dark brown eyes, and tanned skin.

"Our first exercise of the day is asking ourselves questions," Manuel said.

"To give off some context, we need to ask you what made you become gay," Horace explained.

Alec couldn't believe what he was hearing right now. What made them gay? Nothing made him or anyone else gay.

"We will start off with," Horace paused as he looked down at the clipboard then said: "Raphael Santiago."

"No tengo nada que decirte, idiotas," Raphael said, harshly.

"Que dijiste?" Manuel said.

Alec looked at Raphael, on the outside he was being serious but Alec could sense on the inside that he didn't know what to do next. "Come on, Raphael, do something!" Alec screamed in his thoughts. "Do something Raph before you get in trouble!"

"Me escuchaste perra!" Raphael shouted as he stood up.

Alec looked around to see the others reactions and they sure were excited to see what Raph was going to do next.

"That's enough, both of you!"

"Callate chico blanco!" They both yelled in unison.

That's when Manuel and Raphael started to swing punched at each other. Everyone was chanting "Fight, fight, fight!". Magnus went up to Alec and whispered in his ear.

"Why don't you say we get out of here?"

Alec shyly nodded and the ran out before anyone could see them. They stood in front of the school and sat on a stone bench. There was bright, green grass all over, huge bushes that people could hide behind, and flowers that could stay in bloom for days.

"Finally glad to get out feels like centuries I've been in there."

"It's only been a day that you've been in here."

"As I said, I feel like it's been centuries in there."

Magnus took a big yawn and wrapped his arm around Alec. Magnus pulled Alec closer to him and Alec was hoping that Magnus wasn't noticing any blush on him. The two were very close and all the two boys could do was stare at each other for hours.

"Has anyone ever told you that you've looked so beautiful under a bunch of sunshine?" Magnus asked.

"No, but my brother has been told that."

"Your brother?" Magnus said with his eyebrow arched.

"His name is Jace, he's actually adopted."

"Really?"

"Yeah, my mom and dad were best friends with Jace's parents when they were in high school. When Jace's mother died after giving birth to him and when his father died in a car accident, my parents took him in and he's been a part of our family ever since."

"Sounds like you two are really close."

"We are, I couldn't imagine my life without him or my other siblings."

"Other siblings?"

"I have a little sister name Isabelle but we call her Izzy for short. She's really nice but when you piss her off then she will not be afraid to stab you with her heels."

"She sounds like a young, bad-ass to me."

"And then the littlest of them all is Max, he's really geeky and nerdy. You can definitely find him reading a manga or a comic book."

"Must be a nice kid."

"He is even though he always finds himself getting in trouble."

Magnus giggled a little bit but Alec continued.

"What about you? Do you have any siblings?"

"No, I was an only child. It's always just been me, my mom, and my dad."

"Oh, well, that sounds nice."

"Trust me, it's not. They're constantly on my back all the time and they can never give me a break."

"I know how that feels."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I mostly felt from my dad. He was always pressuring me to go to Harvard so that way he could have someone success his law firm but I'm not that type of lawyering guy."

"Well, what type are you?"

"The linguist."

"Linguist?"

"Yeah, I got interested in it when I was in middle school. I always made sure that my New Years resolution would be to learn a new language."

"What are you learning this year?"

"Indonesian."

"Anda sedang belajar bahasa Indonesia?"

"Saya sedang mencoba."

"Kamu tidak buruk, bagaimana kamu belajar?"

"Penerjemah Google."

"Really? Google translate?"

Alec wasn't sure if he should continue in Indonesian or English but before he could make the decision, a high-pitched voice shrieked.

"Look ladies, this is supposed to be an example of what anyone should not be doing."

Magnus and Alec separated from each other and looked at where the voice was coming from. Alec saw the brown-haired girl again and there was another girl standing next to her that was laughing.

"Oh, homos, so weak-willed and lost."

The girl's words were starting to echo in Alec's mind. One at a time, the sentence kept repeating and it took over his mind.

"This is why they, and you, all are here, to get you back to the straight hood."

Alec couldn't take this anymore and just sprint out of the bench.

"Alec, tunggu."
