It's been a week and a half since you had moved to Nockfell, and the only people you've ever known are the ones from your floor, Todd and Gab. You hung out with Gab in his apartment, even meeting his older brother who's studying to be an ophthalmologist. You met Todd since he'd go play Legos with Gab at times when you'd come over.

Though now you're  confused when you went to Gab's to hang out, he isn't there as it was locked and you didn't hear him shout "Wait a moment!" like he'd usually do. You went to Todd's and he isn't there as his parents had told you.

You frown, not knowing where the two might have gone. You couldn't text Gab since he doesn't have a phone, but Todd does. An idea lights up in your mind as you take out your phone from your pocket, texting Todd. Good thing you remember asking for his number the first time you met him.

Are you busy? :You

Todd: I'm out with some friends, I apologise for not informing you. Is Gab not there?

His apartment's locked :You

Todd: He must have slept in, it's pretty early too.

It's noon. :You

It takes him a while to text back, to which you find odd.

Todd: You have a key card, right?

Yeah, what about it? Used it yesterday to do my laundry :You

Todd: Come down here, I have a pair of guys I want you to meet.

You stare at your phone, a.. joke forming in your mind.

Todd, are you actually bisexual? :You

Todd: I'm strictly a homosexual, Y/N, I also got a boyfriend. Just what are you insinuating?

I'm kidding, fine, let me get there. Wait a moment. :You

You pocket your phone, then head to your apartment to get the keycard from the kitchen counter. Heading out, you get to the elevator and press the button to go down.

You look up at the screen, seeing it come from the fourth floor to the second. You raise an eyebrow, someone might be coming down with you or someone had gotten off on the fourth floor.

Either way, you didn't care. The elevator gets to your floor, opening to reveal a guy with a mask and blue hair holding a hand-held console in his hands. You payed no attention to him as you enter the elevator, about to get to the basement when you notice that there's already a keycard in the slot. You turn to the guy, who merely stares at you.

"You're going to the basement too?" He asks you, pointing at the card in your hands. You slowly nod, pocketing the card and letting the doors close as you take your place inside the elevator. You stand in awkward silence as the elevator music overhead did nothing to ease the tension; luckily you get to the basement and the doors open. You come out, seeing Todd standing by the vending machine.

"Ah, Y/N, you took a bit long." He greets, then seeing the blue haired guy just exiting the elevator. He waves, "Hello to you too, Sal."

"Hey Todd- so this is the Y/N?" The guy, his name now known to you as Sal, steps to Todd, then turning to you, "I'm Sal."

You raise your eyebrows at how he says your name, but introduce yourself anyway, "I'm Y/N L/N, nice to meet you, Sal. I've heard about you from Todd, says you're into supernatural stuff."

Yeah, Todd has mentioned it a few times while hanging with Gab, though Gab hasn't really seen Sal himself.. well, he's blind, but he hasn't really met the guy.

"Why do you care?" He scoffs a bit, causing you to blink in confusion at his attitude.

What?

"Um, anyway, you don't mind meeting a couple of my friends, right, Y/N?" Todd asks you, sounding a bit nervous. You stare at him, and he only averts his eyes as he continues, "I mean, since school will be starting, it's best that you knew a couple of us from there since Gab doesn't even go to school."

"Rude, but okay." You chuckle, thinking how Gab would throw Todd a Lego block when he mentions that the sight-less boy doesn't go to school. "I don't really mind."

"Come on then, hope you don't have sensitive ears." Todd gives you a smile, before Sal takes the lead and heads to a door. Without knocking, he opens it, which gets you a bit surprised since you've always been the one to knock before entering any door; a habit that had accumulated in your childhood, but you don't ponder on it any longer.

Wondering what Todd means about sensitive ears, you hear faint music playing when the door was closed, growing louder when Sal had opened it. Entering the apartment, it's grown louder and louder as you approach the room that says 'Keep Out'.

"If Gab was here, he would have a field day." You mutter, causing Todd to laugh. Sal doesn't understand, he probably doesn't know who Gab is. He opens the door, and you feel like your ears could pop at how loud it is.

You immediately take a few steps back, covering your ears with a frown.

"You get used to it." Todd tells you, though you know that you wouldn't because you knew you'd get a headache within minutes. You shake your head, eyebrows furrowed. "What's the matter?"

"I can't stand loud sounds," You say, already making your voice loud.

"What?" He lowers his head, trying to listen to you.

"I said I can't stand loud sounds!" You repeat even louder.

"LARRY FACE SHUT THE MUSIC!" Sal shouts, causing you to jump-- his voice was louder than the music.

Soon it had stopped, you let out the breath you didn't know you were holding. Huh, weird.

You feel a hand on your shoulder, and you look up.

"Woah, dude, you okay?"
