"Bones?"

You turn back to Selly, giving her a look. She merely gives you a smile, motioning for you to move along. Nodding in return, you hold onto Sal's hand before heading to the open doors. He suddenly squeezes your hand when you had entered the room, though you couldn't blame him.

You remember what Sal said about the skin and guts inside Packerton's room, shuddering as you look at the piles and piles of bones around the room. It's sickening that.. these are.. actual human bones..

"Ash!"

Larry runs to the right, with you and Sal following after to find Ash passed out against a pile of bones. He sits her up, lightly shaking her shoulders, "Hey, Ash. Ash wake up. Ash, can you hear us?"

"She's passed out, dumbass." Sal mumbles, his hold on you getting tighter. You struggle against it, and he loosens his grip. "Sorry, I'm just tense right now."

You give him a soft smile at him in return, turning to the rest of the chamber. You take out your phone, taking a few pictures of it for Mina.

"What? Is the Sally Face apologising?"

"Shut the fuck up, Larry."

Ash suddenly groans, her face contorting in pain as she slowly blinks awake. Her eyes widen upon opening, frantically looking around the room, "Where the hell are we?!"

"Some cult chamber." Larry answers, holding onto her as he assists her up. Ash staggers a little but regains her balance, thanking him before dusting herself off. He looks around, holding onto his arms, "It's so creepy here that it's giving me the chills. You guys want to bounce out of here?"

"I don't think I can last another second just standing here, let's go." You say, tugging at Sal's hand. You all head out of the doors, letting the guys undo whatever mechanism they triggered to open them. As they return, Selene uses her ability to open the gates and safely get the four of you out of the place. You make sure to snap a few more pics before heading out.

Larry went ahead and crashed in his room as you all closed the hatch to the lower basement.

Upon getting to the elevator, Selene and Ash immediately bid their goodbyes as soon as the doors open to the first floor.

You were left with Sal, with the obvious decision to go to his apartment. When you entered his room, he immediately pulls you down onto the bed to.. cuddle.

Smiling, you were correct about him being touch starved. It was really adorable.

"It was scary in there." You say, reaching around his head to take off his prosthetic. You frown when you see him frowning, eyebrows scrunched up together. You rarely see what he looked like under the mask, and it hurt to see him so sad whenever you do.

"It really was." He mumbles, pulling you closer to him so that he's against your chest. Smiling at this, you notice how he likes being the one coddled. It's too adorable for your own good. He looks up at you, saying, "I was cursing my mind out when I left your side, good thing Selene was there to accompany you.."

"You're more honest when no one else if here." You chuckle, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "It's so different from you indifferent persona."

"Sorry if I came off as rude when we first met." He says, looking sheepish. Your heart flutters at the sight of it, wondering how he can be pretty cute despite the fact that his face is mangled. It's not like that you don't like how he looks, it's not like he can help it either.
