You've been thinking. A lot.
Which is why you're currently in the infirmary, because you just started breathing heavily and couldn't act properly. The teacher understood (thank the heavens she's one of the teachers who understand the younger generation) and let you off the hook for the rest of your classes, but you were still panicking. Kinda. Slightly. Maybe?
Why are you panicking? Well, that discussion during lunch. It opened.. doors. Thoughts. Memories.
You remember the nightmares you'd have, where you're running down a long hallway and never even getting to hold the knob- you just shoot up from your bed breathing heavily and suddenly breaking down. Sal had been present in one of them, and you couldn't even tell him the problem because it was just.. you were just running down a hallway, what's so sad about it that you'd break down nearly every time? You didn't even know why you were crying about it.. but you remember thinking about Sal.
Sal. Liam's vision of him dying in orange clothes by the electric chair. What's that suppose to mean? Sal's a criminal? He would never. He could never. You don't want to believe it. Could you avoid a future from happening? You don't know. Everything is too confusing.
Other than that- it's what Liam said next that got you panicking even more. About Sal dying from a car crash. At a young age.
A memory struck you that time where you watched Sal get hit by a car because of a game of tag that you started. Just a childish.. game.
Still, it's.. worrying. Bothering. Scary. Horrifying.
You remember it happening, you remember screeching his name when his body jerks from the impact. You remember falling into a deep abyss, all noise coming to a halt as the scene in front of you seem to shatter into glass shards. The feeling of floating into space gives you chills down your spine, the absent feeling of solid ground beneath your feet getting you nauseous.
How is Sal alive when you saw him get hit?
Wait, no, that's not a question, that's possible even if Sal did get hit, he'd still live.
The actual question is.. how is Sat not in the hospital? How did you wake up in bed.. back in time? Did you time travel? Who was that voice talking to you? Why does it sound so familiar?
You were questioning your sanity at this point. Is everything a dream? Were you actually in a coma? You didn't know. Are you even existing? You're getting philosophical at this point.
Then you go back to the times you suddenly pass out. What did those.. "visions" mean? The one were you can't see but are floating in space? The one where someone was shoving dirt down your throat? The one where someone was burning you at stake? The one where someone couldn't breathe? Are they real? Are they connected to the cult? What are they suppose to mean? What did they have to do with you?
What are you?
You were thinking too much. You should be resting. You should be sleeping. You should be-
"Y/N?"
Much like what you do whenever you have a nightmare, you suddenly sit up from the bed. Sal jumps in surprise before sitting down, holding onto your shoulders, "Hey- it's- it's just me. Are you okay? Someone told me you were here, what happened?"
"Oh, um, bad headache." You tell him. He gives you a look, one that tells you that he knows you're lying. You sigh, "I'll tell you later. I want to go home."
