School's been fine and hell at the same time, you did well with homework, but it was hell due to the bullies around. You then learned that there's four of them! Travis the son of the church pastor, Heather the bratty rich kid, Markus the jock, and Eleanor the punk, all of which you have somehow angered and are now entitled to ruining your life more than they ruin your friends'.

But hey! They're more focused on you than they are on your friends, right?

Kinda wrong.

They're targeting your friends more than usual that one time you've been punched on the face. It was thanks to Mina's knowledge of martial arts that she got Eleanor to get off of you during Gym class. Needless to say, you got in detention but Eleanor was in for three hours while you only got thirty minutes.

Enough about the bullies, as you call them THEM due to the initials of their first name, you decide to go visit Gab. Since coming to school, you rarely had the time to visit him due to homework. And since it's the weekend, let's go visit Gab!

Just as you had left your apartment, you see someone exit from the elevator. You blink, waving at Larry.

"Hey, what'cha doing on the second floor for?" You ask, standing in front of Gab's apartment door.

"Visiting you- why, were you going somewhere? I can visit some other time." He turns, about to press the elevator button.

"Wait!" You stop him, thinking fast. "You wanted to meet Gab, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

You knock on the door, hearing a "Wait a moment!", and the door opens to reveal Gab.

"Y/N! I missed you!" He exclaims. He pauses for a moment, turning to the side to see Larry. He squints, "Is this the Larry I've heard you talk about?"

"Yup." You smile, a bit forced as you wish that Gab does not run his mouth off and tell Larry that you described him as a-

"Yup, recognised him, you did tell me he has a long-"

"Ahahaha, we're all acquainted!" You cut him off with a nervous smile. Gab looks at you, getting the message and feigning innocence.

"I meant the long hair, Y/N." He deadpans.

"Right, sorry, I'm just so excited to see you again!" You say, your voice going in a higher pitch out of panic. "And with Larry!"

"Come on in my apartment." Gab steps inside, with you and Larry following after him. You close the door behind you, and you hear Larry lowly whistles- as he does with everything he finds interesting.

"Sick lego collection, dude." Larry compliments, pointing at the small miscoloured statue of liberty at the corner of the room. "Why isn't it the same colour though?"

"Oh, I can't see colours." Gab replies.

"Ah, I get it, you're colourblind." Larry heads onto the couch, sitting down.

"Nope, I'm blind."

"Excuse me, what?"

Larry turns to you for an explanation. You merely point back at Gab, who stares at the both of you. He.. is not exactly looking at you guys but still there's A in effort for Gab who--

"Echolocation, bitch, I'm a dolphin." Gab jokes, "But really, it's a weird ability for me to have like-- I can kinda see my surroundings through sound? So yeah that's why I absolutely hate being underwater, I went swimming back in Spain once, it wasn't a good experience to have."

You strangely feel a wave of nostalgia hit you, but you didn't pay attention to it as you ask, "What, you drowned or something?"

Gab grimaces at your words, and you immediately pale down drastically as you regret your words.

"Oh fuck, sorry, I didn't mean-"

"Nah, it's fine, you hit close to home though." Gab falls on the couch next to Larry, lazily grinning, "I almost drowned, actually. Keyword is almost, I didn't die because me drowning would have meant that I died. So anyway, now I have a fear of open water or just being underwater- eh, don't know the exact difference but yes have that."

"That's sad, dude. Sorry that it happened to you." Larry sighs, putting a hand on his shoulder. He sits up, asking, "So, tell me about this echolocation of yours, seems cool."

"Oh, oh!" Gab straightens up in his seat, clearing his throat before explaining, "I can see anything with shape, which is everything, but not colours or any design on it.. unless the design is like.. has form or anything, whatever, yeah! Example, I know Y/N's wearing a shirt but I can't see what's on it or what colour it is."

"True that." You say, now sitting next to Larry.

"Also, I can see in the dark. I can't see light in general, I can just see the shape of things." Gab continues. "It was freaky to feel wind for the first time, it was scary."

"So like, you can see with sound?" Larry asks slowly.

"Yup, reason why I have a loud voice." Gab emphasizes by raising his voice, and saying, "With that, I just err kinda saw someone get out of the elevator."

"Did you "see" how they look like?" You ask, knowing that he can do this because of the time he knew the pizza delivery boy was here. It was freaky for Gab to just up and get off his chair and open the door just before the delivery boy could knock.

"Uh, pigtails?" Gab shrugs, "Mask?"

"That's-"

"That's Sal." Larry cuts you off, smirking at you. You roll your eyes. You hear a knock resound throughout the hallway, with Sal's voice calling your name. You stand up from the couch, opening Gab's door and peeking out to see Sal outside your apartment. He turns his head, seeing you.

"I thought this was your apartment?" He asks, pointing at your door. You nod.

"Yup, but I'm visiting a friend. Come on here." You open the door, letting him in. Sal stands there for a moment before complying, entering the apartment.

"Hello, Sally my man!" Larry calls out, hand waving as he beckons the blue haired guy over, "This is Gab."

"Hey, I'm Sal Fisher." He introduces, sitting on the one-seater couch. You close the door, sitting next to Larry again.

"Huh, so these are the friends you hang out with when you're not with me?" Gab pouts, crossing his arms. "Got no girl friends?"

"Shut up, Gab, I have girl friends." You laugh, shaking your head. "Selene, Mina, and Ash."

".. Selene the.. the one who works in the cafe?" Gab asks, uncrossing his arms.

"Uhh, yeah?"

"Oh damn, I know her! Only because I used to go to the café a lot before," He laughs, "My dad used to take me but he got on the night shift. My brother used to take me whenever he would study but now he doesn't even have that much time to bring me there, all he does is study."

As if sharing a brain cell, you, Larry, and Sal glance at each other. A silent agreement is decided upon the three of you, nodding slowly.

"Uh.. is there any music?" Gab asks, noticing the three of you just nodding.

"Meet down at the lobby?" You ask them, standing up.

"Yup." Sal and Larry stand up too. "Be right back Gab."

"Me too, Gab, go wear something nice and wear shoes." The three of you head out of the apartment, telling Gab you'll see him after a few.

"Wait, what's going on?!" He exclaims dramatically.
