Author's Note : so I've finished all my written tasks- And I HAD FREE TIME TO WRITE SO YA KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS- ANOTHER UPDATE!! This is very rare uwu pls be proud of me aHAHAHA- love you guys, hope you enjoy this next chapter! Also I saw a good theory from a recent comment, but let me tell you this small spoiler that will make sense: "the reader is a pawn". Also, because of consecutive updates, HAVE A SAL-POV!

WARNING: This chapter will touch on death. As it may be a heavy topic for others, please read with caution.

It's not like Sal was disappointed.

Okay. Maybe he was. He was looking forward to knowing what Liam saw in his red eye, and since there's so much fucked up mysteries surrounding their oh-so lovely town of Nockfell, they're sure to believe Liam on his eye's ability. Hell, Selene has telekinesis- how could they not believe Liam?

Anyway.

Death was a topic he wasn't afraid to touch, he's the type to make self-deprecative jokes as some sort of self-comfort, joking about dying something. Still, even though it's a joke, he's not really afraid of dying. It's that thing where it's already game over and you can't do anything about it. All he's doing is living his life comfortable until he reaches his inevitable end.

But goddamn, why is it taking them so long?!

He was just sitting there wondering where the conversation was going until he turns to you. Luckily you had noticed him staring, or else he wouldn't have been able to work it into the conversation.

Anyway, it's finally time. Sal turns to Liam, staring at the evergreen haired boy fidget in his seat.

"Ah, so.." Liam shyly looks over at Sal, looking down at his lunch before saying, "There's cases where what I see can change, depends on the situation.. but, the one time I saw Sal without my eye patch was last year. I don't think it was right but I did see him get hit by a car."

"What the fuck." Sal says, not knowing how else to say that he's surprised. "I got hit by a damn car? What a dumbass."

"Good to know that future Sal is just a dumbass as he is right now." Larry snickers, which gets the two of them into a verbal argument with Ash and Todd adding a few snide remarks of their own. Nothing serious, it was just the usual back and forth banter between then. The others only laugh at their predicament, and he appreciates the way you just squeeze his hand as support.

How sweet you are. He currently wants to kiss you, but that would have to wait some time later. Maybe after classes. Or maybe he could drag you to the janitor's closet. He doesn't know yet, he'll see later.

"There was a second time though. And I saw Sal again, back at the lake." Liam adds, shrinking down in his seat. He averts his eyes, explaining, "That's how I learned that the situations can change.."

"At the lake.. Was it when we had a sleepover a-at Mina's house?" Selene asks, toying with the sleeves of her turtleneck. The others already knows the reason for why she wears long-sleeved clohing, it's due to the scars she has on her body. You've seen it when you guys were at Wendigo lake, and you didn't mind- just as you didn't mind about Sal's face when he took off his mask.

This is really the best friends he's ever encountered, has he?

"So what is it now?" Sal asks, crossing his arms against the table. The topic was rather interesting to him, talking about how he dies in the future. He wonders if him knowing would make everything change- but the future doesn't exist anyway, so all he has to do is just go with the flow of life. Maybe.

"It was hazy, but I kind of saw you strapped to a chair." Liam frowns. "You looked older."

"Wait you mean the time you saw me die before I looked younger?" Sal asks, feeling a chill down his spine.
