【Author's Note : hmmm, what's this? another sal-pov chapter?】
"I'm telling you guys this is a horrible idea." Sal grumbles, even though he's already walking through the dark forest with a flashlight in hand. Larry turns around to face him with a grin. Sal only scowls under his mask, "If something happens, I'm leaving already."
"Spooooky~" You say as you wave your hands, making light flash all over the place. Sal squints at you, shaking his head at his friends in disappointment.
He's disappointed in himself that he got dragged to this mess, although the only reason he came with is because he honestly wanted you guys to stay safe. So he'll be the one to be your impulse control to avoid any accidents. He might say that he'd leave, but that's merely a threat in case anything happens. A threat he's willing to commit, he's not some liar.
Sal manages to hold onto your elbow as you trip over a tree root, scolding you, "You have a flashlight, right? Fucking use it."
"Sorry, sir." You say, turning to him with a small smile. "Thanks though, would have fallen on my face."
"Or worse, fall off some cliff or something." He tells you, not exactly joking around. He knows there's an area around here that has a steep fall, and since it's hella dark and they only have flashlights so the area is definitely accident prone. Sucking in a sharp breath, he murmurs, "Be careful."
"I'll try." You say, smiling once again. He nods, letting go of your elbow. He looks over ahead, seeing Larry pointing at things for Gab to look at. The both of you catch up to them, hearing their conversation.
"I saw something glow up, but that must be my imagination.." Gab says, squinting as he looks at somewhere over Larry's shoulder. He shrugs, turning to the other two, "Where shold we go next? So far I haven't seen something."
"We should go back." Sal grunts, crossing his arms. The three turns to look at him.
"We haven't explored the whole area yet!" Larry whines, shining his light to the east. "Last ten minutes, please Sal?"
"You actual fucking child." Sal groans, shaking his head. "Ten damned minutes, fucking fine."
The three let out cheers, with the blue haired boy sighing in disbelief. They all share a braincell, he's the impulse control in case they decided to do something incredibly stupid. He follows after them, not caring enough to listen to the conversation.
He sneaks glances at your excited face, cringing at the feeling of his heart beating a bit faster whenever you smiled. He already admitted it to himself that he likes you, but he honestly couldn't admit it if someone were to bring it up.
Well, most of his friends weren't that attentive enough to notice the signs of his attitude wavering when it comes to you, so he's at least grateful.
Sal looks back over to the group, watching them run their flashlights at every inch of wherever they're going. Well, they should. At least they have the common sense to do so.
"Sal, don't stray to far." You call out, turning around to wave him over. He clenches his teeth, extremely grateful that he has his prosthetic on. He can feel his face sweating under the piece of plastic, and he wants to rip his skin off for the feeling. The only reason it's uncomfortable for him is because he finds himself liking you a bit too much. He frowns at the thought of you not reciprocating his feelings, but that's his problem in the end anyway.
Can't force you to like him back, after all.
"Yeah, sorry." He jogs right after the group, somehow feeling fine when he got closer.
