I head back upstairs and to my room. I see another note on my bed.
'Dad's back.' Is all it says.
I gasp.
I run to Dr.Saltzman's office. I go to the cabinet with our phones in it. It's a tall bookcase like cabinet. We can all see every phone and every persons name that is attached to the phone.
I put my hand up on the cabinet. "patentibus." I quietly say. The cabinet opens easily. Weird. They usually have a spell so we can't open it. But not today.
I shake it off and grab my phone. I unlock it and look through my contacts to see Hope's number. I press the button and begin my call.
Someone answers on the third ring.
"Lilly, Hope is grounded remember." Haley's voice says through the phone.
"Is Klaus back in town?" I ask.
I hear her swallow. "Yes he is. But it's being taken care of." She tries to explain.
"Let me talk to her please." I beg.
"She will be back in a couple weeks." She hangs up.
Crap.
I put my phone back and lock the cabinet. I walk out of the office and head back to my room. I'm so surprised I wasn't caught. Dr.Saltzman barley leaves his office. Always researching or making up new assignments.
I get to my room without a hitch. I change into pajamas and go to sleep

I wake up and get dressed. Another long day of classes ahead of me. I get dressed in a yellow Salvatore school top with a checkered skirt. I put on white ankle high heel boots. I finish the look with a white headband. My hair just straight down.
I grab my small backpack and head to class.
First class world history.
"Now what caused the Second World War?" Our teacher asks.
No one answers so he calls on someone. I kind of tune out for the rest of class. I can't stop thinking about how Hope is feeling.
That's how I drift through the day. Until I'm in chemistry.
I walk into class before I sit down someone comes up and pulls me close. By this time I'm snapped out of my haze of the day.
"Hi Lilly." He smiles. Oh right I have a boyfriend now.
"Hey." I smile as I get out of his grip.
"Something wrong?" He asks looking at me concerned.
"Um yea I'm fine. Not big on PDA." I admit.
He backs up. "Not big on PDA. You and Hope hug and hold hands all the time." He says upset now.
I gasp. "She's my best friend. Can we talk about this later?"
The teacher comes in and we start class.
About half way through class Mrs. Salvatore comes in.
"Can I help you?" The teacher asks.
"Can I borrow Lillian for a couple minutes?" She asks.
"Yes of course." He says and looks at me. "Lilly will you go with her please?"
I nod and get up and out of class.
I walk next to Mrs. Salvatore.
"What is this about?" I ask.
"Why don't we just go to my office." She says. She's hiding something and I know it.
We get to her office door. She puts her hand on the door and takes a deep breathe. Finally she opens the door. I walk inside. I gasp at who I see.
"Mom?"
