I hear screaming in the cells. It takes me back to a few months ago. My first turn. I've refused to turn since than. I stand up and go to the cell that my little brother is in.

"Jason." I call. No answer. "Jason it's okay."  I hear a loud growl. "You will be okay I promise."   He bangs on the wall scratching, trying to get out.  "I'm sorry." Is all I can say.  The scratching and howling get louder. I feel tears in my eyes.

I feel hands on my shoulders as they take me back from the cell. I lean on the persons chest.

"You'll be okay." The deep voice says. It's Alec.

"I just want to sleep." I sigh. But I know I can't. Not now.

"I'll watch him. You sleep." He says as he lays me down so I'm laying on his lap. He strokes my hair.

"Promise?" I ask. I yawn.

"Promise." He says. He strokes my hair again. I hear him whisper "somnum" And I fall asleep.

........

I wake up to the wolves knocking on their cells to be let out. I sit up as I wipe the sleep away I look around to see witches are letting them out one by one. Finally a witch named Sam gets to my brother's cell.  She says the spell and my brother comes out of his cell.

I run up to him. He throws himself in my arms.

"Let's get you upstairs." I say. I throw my arm around my little brother and we walk down the stone hallway to the stairs. I quickly walk with him up the stairs and we head to his room. He opens the door and there stands his roommate.

"Hey Jason." The young boy smiles. He is still in his robe. "I'm about to get dressed."

"I'll go." I say I turn to my brother. "I'm very proud of you."

My young brother smiles at me. I turn around and head out the door closing it behind me. I head back to the professor Saltzman's office.

I knock on the door. I hear a faint come in and push open the large doors. The professor looks up from his large stack of papers.

"Lilly. How can I help you?" He asks.

"Can I have my phone? I want to call Hope." I say.

He stands up and goes to his cabinet. He opens it up with a small golden key. He goes through the phones and finally lands on mine. He grabs the Iphone and hands it to me. "Give it back when you're done."

"Promise." I smile smugly.

I thank the man and walk out. I dial Hope's number. She answers on the third ring.

"Oh my god I have so much to tell you." I say.

"Me too." She says in her normal stubborn voice.

We take turns telling each other the things we've missed. She wins on what's worse.

"We'll find your mom I promise." I say confident.

She sighs into the phone. "You don't know that. But I'll be back at school tomorrow. I'll see you than."

"Okay night." I say and we hang up the phone.

I walk back into the professor's office and hand him my phone back.

He takes it and I walk out of the room again.

I walk back to my room and begin studying as I have a test tomorrow in English.

I can't wait to see my Hope tomorrow.

......

I'm in English almost finished with my test when I see a familiar face look through the classroom window. Hope. I finish the test, and because it's a final we can leave when we're done. I practically throw my paper at the teacher  and fast walk out.

I go to my friends room. I don't bother knocking I just barge in. The curly haired girl looks at me and smiles. We run to each other and hug tightly.

"I'm so happy you're back." I say trying to hug her tighter. She pulls back. Her eyes are filled with sorrow. "I'm guessing no news on your mom?"

She shakes her head. "No, my dad is working on it though."

I sigh heavily. "And where you dad goes,"

"Trouble follows." She finishes my thought. "He's gone crazy I swear."

"It'll be fine. You're dad may be a little crazy but if there's one thing he's good at, it's finding people and punishing them. He'll find your mom and than it'll go back to how it was." I try to comfort her.

She smiles a soft smile. She hugs me again."Thank you." She says.

"Of course. That's what best-friends are for."
