Hope's Best friend

Weekends

I wake up and quickly get out of bed. It's the weekend. Around here the weekend is almost like a normal school day, except with no classes. The witches spend the weekend practicing herbal spells in the garden. The wolves and vampires spend the weekend practicing wickory. Unless it's a full moon like this weekend.

I get dressed into an old grey look tee-shirt I cut into a tank top. I put on some jean shorts, and silver Sandals.  I put my hair in a braid. I walk out my bedroom door to go find my boyfriend. I walk down the long hallway and to the library. I find my boyfriend, nose in a book. I walk over to him and put my arms over his shoulders so my hands are on his chest.

He quickly turns around and smiles when he sees me. He pulls me into the chair so I'm sitting on his lap.

"Hi beautiful." He pulls me down for a kiss. I laugh as I kiss back.

"I just wanted to say hi. Plus I need a study buddy. I'm still banned from magical classes. But Caroline is still making take the finals." I smile.

He smiles. "Okay. I'll help you in your room."

I laugh, I stand up and pull him with me. We walk hand and hand to my room.

I lay on top of Alec kissing him as he lays flat on my bed. I pull away from him. "Shouldn't we be studying?" I ask.

"Five minutes." He says pulling me down again.

After a lot longer than five minutes we finally begin studying.

"Okay What is the incantation for starting a fire?" He asks me.

I take a piece of scratch paper and say "Ignarious," the paper catches on fire.

"Good and now extinguish it." He simply says.

"Adiuuatur," I simply say. The fire goes out quickly. I set the burnt paper on the ground. I cross my arms. "Can we try something harder? I've known the fire incantation since I was 6. It's the first thing you learn here." I laugh.

He smiles at me. "Fine." He quickly flips through the book. He smiles, looks around the room. He grabs a glass vase and smashes it.

I gasp as the clashing sounds gather in my ear. "What the hell?" I ask.

"Fix it." He says.

"I literally did that spell last night." I say as I remember talking to my little brother.

"What's the other incantation?" He asks.

I roll my eyes and take the broken pieces in my hand. "Venez très connu cendre." I chant over and over. I feel as it reforms in my hands. I open my eyes to find the vase is back to its original state. I sarcastically smile up at my handsome boyfriend. I turn to look at the clock. I quickly stand up as I see the sun will be setting soon. "I have to go." I say. I grab my coat and head for the door. I rush down the hall.

I hear my name being called from behind me. I turn to find Alec a couple feet behind me. I stop and wait for him.

"Where are you going?" He asks trying to catch his breathe.

"It's the full moon I'm going to stand outside Jason's cell." I explain. "Now I have to keep going. The moon will be up soon." I start to walk again.

Alec grabs my hand. I look at him confused. He simply smiles. "This can't be easy for you. I'll stay with you."

A giggle slips from my lips. I'm never this giddy. But these days who knows who I am.

I walk down to the old prison area. At least that what I call it. Now it's just a place for our werewolves to turn. It keeps us all safe from them.

I find Jason in his robe. He spots me and runs up to me. He hugs me. I hug him back.

"I'm so happy you're here." He says. He looks at me confused, "Why aren't you in a robe? Don't you have to change like all of us?" He asks motioning around to all the wolves in there robes.

"Um no. You see I'm part of a wolf pack that doesn't have to change every full moon. But to make a long story short I can change when I want." I explain.

"Do I have to change every full moon or am I like you?" He asks.

I take a deep breathe. "I.... don't know." I admit.

"Okay time to get in the cell unfortunately." Alaric's says from behind me.

Jason looks up at him and smiles. He than looks at me and does the same as he walks into the cell.

I look up at our professor. He nods his head. I put my hand out and say. "Claudo te." I turn around to see Alec has finished sealing the other cells.

I sit on the opposite side of the cells. The cold cobble stone hits my back.

"Do you want to get some sleep?" Alec asks.

"No I'm going to wait here. At least until he changes. That's the least I can do." I say.

He smiles. "Okay." He sits nexts to me. "Than I'll wait here with you."

"Okay." I smile.

"You're a good person you know that right." He pulls me into a side hug.

I smile up at him and snuggle myself into his chest. I hope he's right.

Hey guys I'm sorry I haven't updated in awhile, I got this stupid stomach bug that has been going around in my town. But I'm back. So the next few chapters are going to cortinate with season 5 of the originals. Obviously it's going to different as to add my characters. I also won't be doing exactly has the show because I'm only going off memory. I would rewatch to make sure I get it right but my Netflix has been canceled. I hope you understand and will still read it.  Thank you.
