Josh's POV
"Josh what're you doing?" Oli asked me when his breathing was normal.
"N-nothing." I stuttered. Fuck. Why did I have to stutter?
"Why are you lying to me?" Oli said, sounding hurt.
"Just please leave." Don't go. I can't do this on my own. I just need a hug. I need your love.
"No. I'm not leaving you. Especially when you're standing on the edge of a bridge, when the day before, you ran away after kissing me." He stated, crossing his arms.
I turned away from him and looked down. I looked down into the dark, beautiful water. It was tempting to jump. The voice in my head was saying 'Do it! Do it! Jump!' (A/N: L'appel du vide which means the call of the void in French)
I was subconsciously leaning forward when Oli grabbed my wrist and pulled me down from the ledge. He grabbed my shoulders and looked me in the eyes. "What the fuck were you doing, mate? You almost fell."
"So?" I said hastily.
"'So?'... Fucking 'So?'! You could've died! What do you mean fucking 'So?'."
"It doesn't even matter, okay?" I said, trying to walk around him to leave.
He stepped in front of me and yelled, "IT DOES MATTER! IT FUCKING MATTERS, JOSH! YOU ARE MY BESTFRIEND! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE ME!"
"Just let me go home." I said, voice wavering. I don't want to be friends. I want to be more. I love him. I was going to break down again.
He calmed himself down a bit and said softly, "Josh, did that kiss yesterday mean anything to you?"
I looked away from him because I could feel my eyes watering. I nodded.
"You know.. You didn't give me enough time to get rid of the shock." He mumbled, grabbed my chin, and turned my head to face him. My eyes widened when I realized what he had meant. He smirked and moved closer to me. I closed the gap.
Our lips slowly collided, and I melted into the kiss. I never thought this would be me. I'm standing on a deserted bridge, kissing the guy I loved. It's never getting any better than this. Our lips moved against each other's.
I felt something hit the top of my head. I looked up to see what it was, when a rain drop landed on my nose. I looked back to Oli and smiled.
I leaned my forehead to his. "I love you." He said.
"I love you, too." I said.
The rain started to come down harder as our lips connected again. We stood in the rain, his hands on my waist, my hands in his hair, kissing.
One thing is for sure, I was the best moment of my life.
