CH 9 What now?

James POV

After Danny walked out of the office all eyes were on me and I felt uncomfortable. I felt like I was going to get sick after hearing all Danny had been through. I looked at Mason and saw so many emotions in his eyes. He looked how I felt. I felt Hunter's eyes on me and looked over at him.

"You are lucky Danny didn't kill you. I can't even look at you right now, Danny has the biggest heart and is so sweet and kind and so broken. He may have changed in a lot of ways, but he is still so broken. I hear him cry himself to sleep almost every night, I have spent many nights trying to calm him down so he can get some sleep. When he first came here, he didn't come out of his room for weeks, only to eat and went right back.

He feared his own shadow and we had no idea why. He told me of what I thought was all of what happened, but I had no idea it was much worse. I don't understand how you can just reject him like you did James, anyone would be lucky enough to have him as a mate. I wished so many times he was mine because he is perfect in every single way, scars, hard past and all. He is an amazing guy and he's so beautiful inside and out.

You don't see that though because you are blinded by the fact that he was a weak small omega and a guy. Status shouldn't matter to someone when it comes to a mate, your mate is your other half and he lost his other half when you rejected him. It took a long time for him to open up and get some friends because he didn't want anyone to hurt him. Now I understand why he was so scared.

If and it's a big ass if but if he does decide to let you stay here until you head back home, stay out of his way and don't talk to him. Leave him alone." He said said and Alpha Mike nodded.

"I agree with all of what you said son. I feel like a trip is in order to go and visit your pack James, to go see the people who have treated Danny so poorly. I also think a call to the council is in order and for them to come along. What went on cannot go unanswered and I will see to it that whoever was involved with the shit that went on are punished. You may leave James. I will have someone set you up in a guest room for tonight at least until Danny makes his choice." Alpha Mike said and I bowed my head and walked out of the office.

Hunter and Mason come out a few minutes later and Hunter walks past me, but Mason stops and sits down next to me in one of the chairs in the hall way.

"He looks great don't you think?"

"Who?" I asked.

"Danny. He grew and got some tattoos a tan and a lot of muscle. He's fucking hot James. How could you have let him go?"

"Mason are you gay?"

"Yea. I just never told anyone because of how they treat people back home. I didn't want to face what Danny went through all because he is gay."

"I had no idea he would grow up to be who he is now."

"Well he didn't really eat and was always stuck in the basement so he couldn't get any type of exercise and well you know. Still can't believe you let him go. Whew."

"I didn't want a guy as a mate Mason. I don't like guys, how many times do I have to tell you that?"

"Hey it's your choice but, I'm gonna go find my mate. See ya." He got up and walked toward the living area. I followed behind slowly and took in the paintings in the hall that were hanging on the walls and found the front door and went out to my truck and grabbed our bags and came back inside and saw the other kids who were here earlier in the living room sleeping with the movie playing on the TV. Luna Marie came up to me.

"Come on, I'll show you to your room."

"Ok, thank you." She nodded and she took me up stairs and showed me a guest room.
