A/n: I know, I know. You're tired of seeing the random out-of-nowhere side stuff that has nothing to do with this story. I know.

But I've been seeing a lot of animatics lately, and I think they suit Lore and Byakuya perfectly. Just saying.

Here's what I had in mind:

Lore (captain of the royal guard) sees a mysterious figure. She chases after it, then finds out it's the person she loved. Thinking that he somehow came back to life, she chases after him.

Byakuya (the prince that was presumed dead) tries to push her away. Everyone he knew, theirs and the captain's ignorance and betrayal (a misunderstanding) killed a small part of him.

Despite that, he loves her too dearly to do any harm to her. But he had no choice.

That's pretty much it. You guys come up with the rest if you feel like it. I thought this would be cool. Btw, I wrote this at school so it won't be that great.

Lore peers from behind a pillar, staring at the back of the man's head. His blonde hair still had its regal and elegant shine. His eyes still had his usual apathy.

"My God, my heart beats faster! And my mind is racing..." the captain hid behind the pillar, holding a hand on her chest.

"Could it be...? Could it be that you've come back to life?" she peers out and becomes entranced once more. She felt her face heat up, staring back into those gorgeous eyes.

"I know those eyes, following me... Dark and familiar, and deep as the sea..." the blonde walks away, walking with his perfect grace and not sparing a glance at anything that stood in his way.

"I know that face, strange though it seems... Younger and kinder, it haunts all my dreams..." she chases after him, unable to quell the increasing beat of her heart.

"How can you stand there, a whisper from me? Yet somehow be so far away?" finally, finally, he looked at her. He finally looked at her with those beautiful eyes.

"In eyes once familiar, a stranger I see..." Lore reaches a hand toward him, aching to be in his arms once more.

"With so many words left to say..." putting a gloved hand on his shoulder, he looks down on her and glares at in animosity and betrayal to her horror.

"This man is dead, he is no more. He died a little each day," Byakuya turns his back to the captain, clenching his fists.

"Like a thief, the Château d'If has stolen him away."

The blonde waves a hand, "The mind plays tricks. You are confused. The man you seek is long gone."

Hair shadowed his eyes, "Dead and cold. A story told, by those he trusted, those he loved, and those who then..."

A tear slid down his face, "Moved on."

Lore chased the man, unaware that he was leading her into depths of the forest. She stumbled and fell, but she kept going. She couldn't afford to stop.

"I am a ghost-"

"There in that voice..."

"Just a mirage. Who chases traces of you..."

"Traces of you... Dark and familiar, and deep as the sea," the captain chases after a silhouette.

"This man is dead, he is no more-"

"I know those eyes..."

"And though it's torturing me..."

"Torturing me!"

"Can either of us really ever be free?" leaning against a tree, they held their aching hearts.

"How can you stand there, a whisper from me? When you are still so far away? And why does the truth seem too hard to be true? With so much broken..."

"And so much damage..." Byakuya's hand shivered, barely able to grip the dagger.

They held each other in an anguished embrace, "There are no words..."

He hovers the dagger over her back, "Left to say..."
