Splashing water on his handsome face, in an attempt to wake himself up from his seeming surreal reality. Boruto took a deep sigh while looking down at his watch, waiting for his beloved girlfriend to be done with her invasive procedure. He was keeping it together for her, or at least he was trying to.
She had been to hell and back in a very short amount of time, and Bolt knew that he was her only sanity. What no one knew was, she was his only asylum. Bolt could tell her anything, and he wanted to tell her everything. He wanted to tell her that he wanted to kill Haron. How even the mention of his name made his blood boil.

How the only reason he didn't kill him was because his friend pulled him off, just as Haron was seconds away from his last breath.
After everything he had done to the love of his life, Bolt felt that death was justifiable.
He could never and would never tell anyone that though. Death became even more attractive after Sarada revealed to him that his actions had caused the death of what would've been their first child.

Looking down at his fractured fist, he took deep breaths to try and stop the horrid thoughts that were going through his mind.
He was seeing red.
"Son, how are you holding up?" Naruto asked his son, who sat in the dark waiting room, away from his concerned friends and family.
He knew that his son was confused and angry, and hoped that he would express how he felt, rather than just bottling it all up.

"Not good, Dad." He nodded in understanding as he continued, "You should've seen her, she looked so broken. All because of that sick bastard. I wish Shika hadn't pulled me off of him." He said softly, and Naruto nodded,
"I know what you mean, but that isn't healthy for you to say, Boruto." Bolt wanted to roll his eyes, there's no possible way he could relate to what I'm talking about. Sasuke quietly came and joined them, as Bolt continued.

Frankly he wanted to thank Boruto for stepping in when he did, but he knew that if he glorified his behavior he'd be scolded by his wife. "And she was pregnant with our baby.
I know that we're young, but man we would've been great parents." He said as tears welded in his eyes, but he refused to let them fall in front of them. "I just don't know why she didn't tell me about the abuse. I-If I had just known what he was doing to her, and what he done to her,
I could've stopped him before things even got this bad."

"We get it, Bolt, but you can't blame yourself."
This time Bolt rolled his eyes and snapped on them, "There's no way you guys could possibly get it." Sasuke and Naruto shared a look at each other, before Naruto sighed and said to him, "Actually, your mother has had her fair share of abusive relationships." He started, making Bolt make eye contact with him.
"Back in high school, before her and her family moved to Konoha she had her own Haron. He manipulated her, and assaulted her numerous times, even her father was abusive for a while."

Bolt scrunched his naturally sculpted eyebrows, "Pops? No way." His father nodded, "She would come to school with bruises, and cuts, and claim that she had fell or something. When I found out about it, much like you, I caused physical damage to both of the men who had caused her any pain, and that definitely wasn't the best way to do it."
Naruto said, though he didn't believe it.

In all honesty he was proud of his son, though
he couldn't admit it without his wife being upset with him. Unlike Hinata, who had always taught them that violence was never the answer, Naruto instilled in both of his children, especially his son, that violence was necessary if it involved defending someone you love.
"People who have experienced that kind of trauma don't open up about it to everyone, even their own family. I was with your mother for six months before she told me about her ex, and she didn't even tell me about her Dad,
I just happened to be at her house when he came home drunk."

"Why didn't you ever tell me that?"
"It's not my story to tell. Like I said, something that emotionally scarring takes a huge toll on a person. Just don't force Sarada to tell you before she's ready."
Bolt sighed deeply, "But she feels so bad about losing the baby, I don't know what to do."
Naruto looked at Sasuke for a little help; clearing his throat he thought carefully of what he was about to say.
