"Skylar, is that you?" Skylar spun around to see a bright blue eyed boy staring back at her.
"Luke! Oh, hi. Um, yes. It's me Skylar." She said sheepishly. "Uh, how could I help you?"
How embarrassing was this for Skylar. She is dressed in an apron and hairnet, serving a very cute boy at her work.
"Just one vegemite swirl, thanks (look at authors note if you don't know what it is)." He smiled.
"Is that for you?"Skylar questioned?
"Yes!" Luke grinned. "I love vegemite!" Skylar scrunched up her nose. She absolutely hates vegemite.
"Vegemite is disgusting. It has this weird taste and smell."
"No, Vegemite is amazing. It's taste and smell is perfectly fine." He argued.
Skylar put the roll into a brown paper bag and handed it over to the blonde haired boy. "One time, my brother dared me to eat Vegemite straight from the jar and it was horrible. Never again." She confessed.
Luke grabbed the paper bag from Skylar and gave her the money for the roll. "You know what? Come over to my place one time after school and I'll give you vegemite properly. I like to eat it straight from the jar, but the spread should be mixed with butter."
"Yeah, maybe." She smiled. She gave Luke his change. "Have a lovely day."
"You too, Skylar. Loving the hair net by the way." Luke winked and then walked away.

Now I'm gonna focus a bit more on Skylar now.

*A vegemite swirl is bread with the spread vegemite made into a swirl!*
One thing, this book is placed in Australia since the boys are all Australian (like me). They will be breaking Australian laws like drinking before the age of eighteen (but some would already be eighteen since it is their last year of school).
Also, if you don't know what Vegemite is, it is the best spread in the whole entire world! Some people don't like it but unlike me, I love it! I eat it straight from the jar and on my toast. If you ain't Aussie, you're missing out on a lot.
