TEN
Then a light turned on. Jess could see his face clearer now. He didn't wear an evil grin like he was going to hurt her. It looked more delicate like he only intended to do the opposite.
"Why did you drag me into a room? You scared the living daylights out of me!" She angrily asked. For a minute, Jess thought she was going to die.
"I never intended to scare you." He replied. "I'm sorry."
"You should be sorry." Jess huffed with annoyance.
"I am greatly sorry." Michael smiled. "Don't be mad at me."
"Why did you drag me into the room anyway?" Then she questioned, crossing my arms. "I'm not going to be sexual with you if that is what you want." Jess started heading for the door, but he grabbed her arm and pulled her back, so their chests are touching each other.
Never in Jess' life would she think Michael Clifford would be talking to her.
"I don't want to be sexual with you. I just want to talk to someone." He breathed. They were so close. Jess' stomach erupted with butterflies.
"What do you want to talk about?" Jess questioned, pushing back lightly so there was some space between them. As much as she wants to be quite close to him, she had to show that she wasn't going to give in. She believed him when he said that he wasn't going to try to be sexual with her.
"I don't know. Just... General stuff."
"Like..."
"What is your favourite colour?"
"Uh, I don't have a favourite colour."
"You what?" Michael laughed. His laugh was angelic. It was one of the most beautiful sound Jess has ever heard.
"I can't choose a favourite colour! I feel sorry for all the other colours if I just choose one." She laughed as well, joining along with Michael.
"Well, I think you made a good point."
"What about you? What's your favourite colour?"
I'm not telling you mine."
"Why not?" Whined Jess, jokingly yet curiously.
"Well, um, my answer might be a bit embarrassing." His cheeks turned a light shade of pink. He looks so adorable, thought Jess.
"Just say it! I won't judge you."
"Fine." He huffed. "Well, you see, um, I like the colour purple a lot."
"What's wrong with that?" Inquired Jess.
"It's girls colour." He sat down on the bed beside them, crossing his legs.
"There is no such thing as a girl or boy colour." She joined him too, starting to take off her shoes because they were annoying her. "Skylar likes the colour green. No one cares that she likes that colour."
"I say my favourite colour is red because it sounds more masculine." Michael replied. "Everyone would judge me if I said I liked the colour purple."
"No one would judge you. Look at me. I'm not judging you." Jess didn't judge him at all. She just was a little shocked. Well, him talking to her made her feel shocked.
"No one expect you knows it is actually purple so please don't tell anyone."
"I won't." Jess smiled.
"Pinkie swear?" Michael said in a baby tone, lifting up his little finger on his right hand.
"Pinkie swear." Jess promised.
