EIGHTEEN
After a nice dinner at a pub near by, Luke thought it would be nice to go for a nice stroll at a park a block away.
With fingers intwined, the two thought it would be nice to get to know each other properly. It's been a few weeks since they were first properly introduced.
"Um... Have any siblings?" Asked Skylar.
"Um, two older brothers." Luke replied. "You?"
"A younger brother. He's annoying. Your pet peeve?"
"Frogs. I hate them. They are gross and slimy." Luke made a disgust. Skylar just laughed at him.
"You know a pet peeve isn't about an animal you dislike?" Skylar was still giggling from Luke's previous comment. His cheeks once again turned a light shade of pink. Skylar thought he looked adorable.
When the sky turned dark and the temperature dropped down, they both decided it was best to leave.
Luke drove Skylar home. It was a nice, chilled car ride. Not too many awkward moments.
"Good night, Luke. Thanks for a lovely date." Skylar told Luke once they walked up on the doorstep.
"It's my pleasure." Luke placed his hands on Skylar's waist. "I would like to take you out again."
Skylar placed her arms around his neck. "I would love to do that."
Then all of a sudden, Luke started leaning in. Skylar's heart was pounding. Was he going to kiss her.
Their faces were only inches away. "Have you been kissed before," mummered Luke, popping the question. Skylar nodded her head. Her first kiss was in fourth grade behind the play house with an ugly kid named Joey Samuels. She didn't want to reject him because she felt sorry for him.
"Okay that's good." Now their lips were brushing over each other's.
All of a sudden, the front door creaked open. Skylar jumped back in fright. "Dad! Were you there the whole time?"
"No, darling. Just wanted to meet this boy. What's your name, son?"
"Er, my n-name's Luke." He placed his hand in front of Skylar's father, shaking his hand. "Very nice to meet you, Mr Todd."
After an awkward silence, Luke decided to go. When Skylar got inside, she messaged Luke saying that she was sorry for her dad interrupting them and she had loads of fun.
