FOURTEEN

"Ch-chapter nine." Michael read out. He took another shaky breath. Jess could feel the awkwardness and nervousness in the room.

"Um, it... Was almost six... Thy tee? I think that's it. Um, when I g-got h-home," Then he stopped reading, glancing the next sentence ahead, looking confused. "Um, the rum blue was seat for... Sea veen? No, that's wrong." He mumbled the last part to himself.

Michael really looked like he was struggling. Jess felt sorry for him. He practically looked like a lost puppy.

"Ms Dawson, I can't do this." Michael looked around the room frightened. "I'm sorry." He got out of his seat and ran out of the room, leaving everyone in the class including the teacher speechless.

"Ha, he couldn't even pronounce 'seven' without stuffing up." Snickered Aaron, a boy who thinks he is the smartest kid in the class. He then started high fiving all his friend, making Jess' blood boil.

Jess turned around, facing Aaron. "Shut up, Aaron. You think you're so smart, but all you are is an arrogant, snobby dickhead that has a big, fat head." Then she ran out the classroom, trying to find an emotional Michael.

This is short and I'm sorry.
