Chapter 6 | Pool party

It was Saturday morning. I got up and decided to take a shower. A nice warm shower to wash away my problems. I wish that actually worked. I sing in the shower even though AJ says I sound like a dying cat. At least I'm not like Marlon who has one on his big ass forehead. I actually sing really well in my opinion. I put on Billie Ellish and sang along. "Clem! Shut up I'm trying to play Fortnite!" AJ yelled. "That game is such ass!" I yelled back. I got out of the shower and got ready. AJ barged in. "I should punch you." He said with an angry tone. "AJ what if I was naked?" I asked. "So? Nothing special to see." He said. "I'll kick your ass." He said. I laughed. "Try me." I said. He punched me. "Oh shit, that hurt so much." I mocked. He rolled his eyes. "I hate you." He said as he headed to his room. "Love you too." I said as I rolled my eyes.

I put my hat on and went downstairs. "Hey mom." I said as I went into the fridge. "Good morning honey." She said with a smile. "How did you sleep?" She asked. "Well I did fall out of the bed so pretty good." I said as I grabbed a water bottle. I sat at the counter. "So what are you going to do today? It's a beautiful day today." She said as she looked out the kitchen window. "I don't know, none of my friends said anything yet." I said as I looked outside. "Oh remember you would play all day in the tree house. You were so little. You've grown up so fast." She said as she teared up. "Mom I was 8 years old. Of course I remember. I would always play with my walkie talkie and dad would talk to me on the other one." I said as I smiled. Dad came up behind me. "Sucks that AJ doesn't play in there. All he does is play those stupid video games." Dad said as he sighed. "One of these days he'll enjoy it like I did." I said. "Okay you two, I need to make breakfast so out of the kitchen." She said. I went into my room and got a text from Vi.

V-Hey Clem

C-Hey girl what's up?

V-So my parents are gone for the weekend and I was thinking that we could have a pool party

C-Since when do you have a pool?

V-Since my dad built it

C-Your dad built it?

V-Duh, anyways I'll invite the rest of the group

C-Okay I'll get my shit together and I'll be there to help you set up

V-You truly are my best friend

C-You know it

I changed into my bathing suit. I put shorts and a tank top over it. I went downstairs. "Mom where are the beach towels?" I asked. She pointed to the closet in the living room. "Thanks." I said as I grabbed a towel out. "Beach today?" She asked. "No pool party." I said as I ran upstairs. She smiled. "Pool party?! Can I come?" AJ asked standing in his doorway. "Well will you behave?" I asked as I stood in my doorway. "Yes, I promise." He said as he nodded. "Okay then you can come but hurry up, oh and you can't break a promise so be a good or I'll kick your ass." I said. "You're not allowed to do that." He said. "I give her permission to!" Mom yelled. He ran into his room and changed into his swim trunks. My dad walked into my room. "Hey sweet pea." He said. "Hey dad, what's up?" I asked as I grabbed my bag and keys. "If he misbehaves, call me and I'll come get him." He said. "I can handle him dad." I said. He nodded and AJ came out of his room. "I'm ready Clem." He said as he stood next to my dad. "Now you listen to Clementine, she doesn't have to take you but she's being nice." Dad said as he got on one knee. "I will dad, I made a promise and you can't break promises." AJ said. Dad nodded and we went downstairs. I open the front door and went to my car. I opened my trunk. "Alright kiddo, put your bag in here." I said as I put my bag in. He put his bag in and turned to me. "Clem?" He asked. "Yes?" I asked. "Can I sit in the front with you?" He asked as he gave me puppy eyes. "Alright." I said. He gave me a surprised look. "What? You thought I'd say no?" I asked. He nodded as he jumped into the passenger seat. "Alright, what song do you wanna listen to?" I asked. "Put on Robbery by Juice WRLD." AJ said. I sighed and I put it on as I started driving.

We eventually got to Vi's house. I parked my car and grabbed our stuff. I knocked on Vi's door. "About time you got here." She said as she smiled. "I got caught up in my music." I said as we laughed. She looked down at AJ. "Hey little guy, you wanted to join us huh?" Vi said as she smiled at AJ. "Yeah and I promised to be a good boy." He said as he smiled back. "Good because it's not gonna be fun without you." She said as we walked inside. "So what do you need help with?" I asked. "Well I bought a new speaker and I need your playlist." She said as she handed me her speaker. "I got you girl." I said as I connected my Bluetooth to the speaker. "Blast that shit." Vi said. I turned up the speaker. I played Juice WRLD. "This shit is fucking good Clem, I need to add your playlist to mine." We laughed. Soon Louis, Marlon, Brody, Minnie, Sophie, and Aj's best friend Tennessee came over. "Tenn!" AJ said as he gave Tenn a hug. "AJ! I didn't know you were here." Tenn said. "I've never met you." I said. "Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, Tennessee is our little brother, we call him Tenn for short." Minnie said. "Hey Tenn, I'm Clementine, call me Clem for short." I said as we shook hands. "AJ tells me all about you at school. You're really cool." Tenn said. "Well guys the pool isn't gonna swim by itself." Louis said. "Louis, pools can't fucking swim." I said. "You're so stupid." Vi said with an annoyed tone. "And cute." I said with a smile. "And she's modest. Do the wonders ever cease?" He said. "I wish your mouth would cease!" Vi said. I started to laugh. We all headed outside to the pool. I took my tank top and shorts off, revealing my bikini. Louis' mouth dropped. "Okay last one in the pool, owes everyone $10!" I shouted as I jumped into the pool. Louis and AJ followed. Vi, Brody, Tenn and Minnie joined us.  Marlon and Sophie raced to the pool. Marlon was last. "Fuck, guess I owe y'all $10." He said. We all started laughing. Don't worry Marlon, we all know your bitch ass is poor." I smiled. "Haha very cute." He said with a grumpy face. Louis made the face of 'don't call my girlfriend cute' towards Marlon. Marlon and Louis started doing flips into the pool. Show offs. Brody and I tried tanning. AJ and Tenn played with firemen toys. Vi and Minnie were making out in the pool. Sophie was talking to Tenn and AJ.

"So how are you and Louis?" Brody asked. "Eh you know....stuff." I said. "Stuff?" Brody chuckled. "Did you see his face when you took your clothes off?" She said. I turned red. "So?" I said. "He likes you Clem, you should already know that." She said as she nudged me. "I know Brody." I laughed. "We are together so I hope he likes me." I said as I got up. Brody screamed in excitement. Everyone turned towards us. Louis got out of the water. "Uh Brody? You okay?" He asked. "You and Clementine are together?!?!" She yelled. "Oh yeah I thought we told you?" He asked as he scratched his head. "I could have sworn that i told you." I said. Everyone's mouth dropped. "About fucking time bro." Marlon said as he nudged Louis. "Really?" Vi asked. "What?" I asked. "You're dating that idiot." She said. I chuckled. "Hey!" Louis said. Brody and Marlon went inside with Vi to make everyone lunch. Sophie and Minnie played with Tenn and AJ. Louis and I went into the hot tub. "I'm glad they know about us now." Louis said as he put his arm around me. "They should have the night we got together but." I said. "Well they know now." He said. "Yeah, honestly I thought they would have figured it out. We made it so obvious. I'm surprised they never guessed." I said. "By the way, you look amazing in that bikini of yours." He said as we both went red. "Thanks." I said shyly. He kissed my forehead. "I love you Clem." He said. "I love you more." I said. "Nope, it's impossible if I love you more." He said looking into my eyes. "Try me." I said as I put myself in his lap, facing him. I pressed my lips against his. He put his hands on my ass. We started to make out in the hot tub. Brody came to get us. "He-" she cut herself off. "I'll just leave you guys alone for a bit." She said as she smiled.

General POV
Brody went inside and left Louis and Clementine outside. "Where's Clem and Lou?" Marlon asked. Brody pointed outside towards them. "I think they deserve some alone time." She said. Everyone nodded as they started to eat and play Fortnite. After 10 minutes, Louis and Clem came inside. "Glad you two didn't eat each other alive." Brody teased. Clem rolled her eyes as she grabbed a slice of pizza and watched AJ, Tenn, Vi, Marlon, and Minnie play Fortnite. They all watched them play Fortnite till midnight. "Shit." Clem said. "It's late." Brody said. Everyone started to head home. "See you tomorrow?" Louis said as he gave Clem a smile. "Of course." She said as they kissed. Clem went to carry AJ to the car. Clem started her car and waved Vi goodbye.
