I woke up to Elijah crying. I looked at our alarm clock and it was 2 in the morning. I got up and carried him downstairs. I didn't want him to wake up Louis and Mia. I sat on the couch and sang Don't be afraid. It was a song Louis and Minnie wrote when I was in the hospital, years ago. My singing calms him down. I wanted Louis and Mia to get rest so I insisted on helping him. He cried into my chest. I started to sing. "Never mind the darkness..." I started. "Never mind the storm..." I sang. He started to calm down. "Never mind the blood red moon.." I sighed. "The night will be over soon..." I sang as I played with his fluffy, curly hair. I felt a tear fall from my eye. "The night will be over soon..." I sang. He stopped crying and fell asleep. I stayed on the couch, lost in my thoughts.

My life has been a mess. I lost my parents at a young age. Dad left before I was born, mom was murdered when I was 8. I was adopted by my mom's friends, Lee and Carley. We got AJ when I was 11. School hasn't been easy for me. I always got bullied till freshman year of highschool. Once I started standing up for myself by fighting and cursing people out, people left me and my friends alone. Gabe tried to get back with me since we broke up in Middle School. I got my drivers license and my first car when I turned 16. Junior year was crazy. I smoked weed with Marlon and Mitch every chance I got. I broke into abandoned places with Vi and Brody. Made YouTube videos with Vi. Teased AJ and scared him non stop. Caught mom and dad....doing uh....yeah. Senior year was amazing. I met Louis on the first day of school. We had our rough times like that break up. We had our first kiss at the Lodge. First sex. Just everything. Gabe went to jail. I got stabbed. Almost lost Louis 3 times. Auditions for movies and shows. My fight with Marlon, causing me to go into a coma. Going to Vegas for the first time. Going to La for the first time. Meeting my birth dad. Pregnancy scare. The huge fight with that Sarah bitch. My first and last Prom. The pool party at Marlon's. My dirty jokes at my first sleepover. All the funny dares I gave. All the happy moments I shared with Louis. Me hopping out of Louis' window after meeting his mom. Louis and I's make out sessions by the lockers during break which lasted 10 minutes. Everyone embarrassing me about the hickeys Louis left on my neck. Then we graduated and highschool was over, that's when my life started. I'm now 23 years old. I married the love of my life and had two beautiful kids with him. I have a 2 year old son and a 9 month old daughter. I hope they have a better life than I had. I still have a lot ahead of me. I'm a famous TV star. When I was 19, I auditioned for a part in this new show they were making called The Walking Dead. Louis auditioned too and we got the parts we wanted. We moved from Georgia to Big Bear, California. We got a bigger house when Elijah was born. By the time Elijah was 1, I found out I was pregnant again. Louis and I were excited of course but we weren't sure if we could take care of two little babies of our own. Elijah and Mia have a better relationship than AJ and I. They don't fight as much as I thought they would. I mean Elijah protects Mia and I at any cost. I remember when Louis had a clown mask on and scared the shit out of me. I. Hate. Clowns. Louis chased me around and Mia was crying because I kept yelling at Louis to fuck off. Elijah started hitting Louis with his teddy bear. 'My mommy!' He kept yelled. It was the cutest thing ever. Rosie even barked at Louis, which she never did before. Probably because I was screaming in fear. I really hate clowns. That takes me back to sophomore year. There was this thing going around called Killer clowns. People would dress as clowns and run around murdering people. Scariest shit of my life. One night Vi, Brody and I snuck into the school and just walked around the place. It looked abandoned at night. We walked into the 200 quad and saw a fucking punk ass clown standing there with a knife. I was gone before they could say anything. I looked behind me as I ran and saw Vi and Brody behind me. I slid under the gate and kept running. Of course Vi and Brody were mad when we got to Vi's house because I left them behind but I don't play with fucking clowns or spiders. Ugh spiders, don't even get me started. My life has been crazy and full of unexpected surprises. Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love watching Elijah open his presents then runs up to Louis and I with a huge smile. Louis and I would wear matching Christmas onesies. Christmas eve we would fly to my parents house and open presents over there with my friends and family. Play Christmas games and eat cookies. We would watch Christmas movies like Home Alone and Christmas Vacation. AJ would play with Elijah. AJ is 12 now and still plays with his nephew. It's adorable. Mom would hold Mia for hours, humming songs that she used to hum to AJ when he was a baby. Christmas dinner is the best as well as Thanksgiving dinner. Louis and I are fat asses when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. Elijah loves the biscuits and gravy I make. Louis does too. Every morning Elijah begs me for pancakes. 'Mommy, pancakes!' he would always say with a smile. I always made them with him while Louis carried Mia on his shoulders, causing her to laugh. Hearing my kids laugh made my heart flutter. My family is perfect and my story will go on. My son has trauma now but I had to help AJ with his trauma so I can handle it. I can't wait to watch my kids grow. They are my happiness. Louis is my happiness. I wouldn't want it any other way.

I ended up falling asleep on the couch with Elijah on my chest. I woke up to Louis and Mia. "Clem! Look!" He shouted with a smile. I looked over to see Mia, taking her first steps. "Come to mommy, Mia." I said as I sat up with Elijah in my arms. She hobbled to me she grabbed onto my leg. Louis grabbed Elijah and I picked Mia up. "I'm so proud of you honey." I said as I held her in the air. I kissed her cheek and brought her down. "Mommy! Pancakes!" Elijah yelled. "What's the magic word?" I asked hoping he would remember. "Please?" He asked. I smiled and nodded. Louis grabbed Mia and I picked up Elijah. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the pancake mix. I put him on the stepping stool. I grabbed everything we needed. "Alright buddy, you know what to do." I said. Louis put Mia in her play pen. "Play!" Elijah said I rolled my eyes and placed him in the play pen with Mia. I got back in the kitchen and Louis followed. He got behind me and placed his hands on my stomach. He started to kiss my neck. I tilted my head to the side so he had more room. He then kissed my cheek. I finished making the pancake mix. Louis turned me around and kissed me. "Louis, we have to make the kids food, we can finish this later." I said as I pushed him back. "Come on, just five minutes." He whined. I lifted my right eyebrow and crossed my arms. "Louis. We have the kids in the living room. Not right now." I said with an annoyed tone. "Please." He begged. I rolled my eyes and smiled. How can I say no to a face like that. I wrapped my hands around his neck. He placed his hands on my ass and lifted me. He placed me on the counter. He held me at my waist as we made out. The kids were playing and watching Bubble Guppies and Disco Broccoli. We needed this. We don't really have time to do these things anymore. I could tell he needed this as much as I did. He started to tug at my shirt. I pulled away. "Nuh uh." I said with a smile. "Awe come on." He said. "Louis. We have children in the other room. Control yourself." I said. He sighed and walked into the living room. I smiled and got off the counter. I continued making pancakes.

Ever since Elijah was born, we lost time for us. We don't really have date nights or parties anymore. We usually do stuff with the kids. Any chance we had to do something like this, we took it.

Soon my phone buzzed. I looked at my phone and then I looked at the pancake mix. It reminded me of mom. I should add strawberries like I did when mom was alive. I think the kids will love it. I went into the fridge and grabbed the strawberries. I cut them up, cleaned them, and placed them in the mix. I mixed the strawberries in and started cooking the pancakes. Soon I was finished with the pancakes. "Breakfast is ready!" I shouted from the kitchen. Louis got up. "Come on kids, mommy made pancakes." He said as he picked up the kids. "Pancakes!" Elijah shouted with a smile. Louis put Elijah in the chair while I put Mia in her highchair.

Everything I have in front of me, my kids, my husband, my dog. I love them so much that they probably will never understand. My story will go on. My life, my family.

It's worth it....
