All morning he had been at the gym working out for the next Captain America movie coming out in the fall. I'd woken up to find Chris gone and a note that he had left on his pillow saying where he went. I was completely fine with him leaving and going wherever he needed to be. Chris and I had been really close friends and to say the least we could have pulled off the "Perfect Couple" look. Sure me and him lived together and paid rent, but we were just best-friends and slept in separate rooms. We thought about the dating thing a few times, but we never really got around trying for it. Deciding it would ruin our already close relationship if we ever parted, sticking to just friends was enough.
In the mean time while he was out I took a well needed shower and started working my story that was to be published within the year. Normally I had a hard time finding the right motivation for my works, but today I had time to think to myself. As always it was hard for me to keep a straight focused mind with Chris around. At times he would bug and bug until I took him out for lunch or a walk like he was an animal and needed the fresh air. It never really bothered me though, it's only because he was always paying for me or getting me things. Little things like bracelets or earrings would put a smile on my face, and at times he bought the perfect sized clothes and or shoes. I loved knowing he knew what I liked or what my thoughts were on certain things. Always paying attention to the littlest of things. Chris saw me for who I was, and that I could say was a relationship worth not letting go.
We both met a very long time ago when we were just young teenagers. Our parents lived across the street from each other so it was easy for the both of us to hang out. Most nights either he would sneak out of his own window and climb in through the basement to hang out with me or I would go and sneak in through his back door with his help. As sneaky as we could be we both eventually found out our parents knew what we always did. They were upset that we snuck out at night but they were glad we were smart enough to stay within CLOSE distance of the houses. In the long run of our lives we ended up in high school together almost having all of the same classes as one another. Our worst subject was gym because we both were just short and scrawny people. And then once College came around we parted ways and went different directions. It wasn't until we were about 23 that we found each other after a long while. Chris had an easy time finding an acting job in the Marvel series which made him the most famous person I knew. It also made my life very TV made because of how many news reporters and paparazzi people followed him around. A couple of times both of us made the magazine covers and website page broadcasts. 'Y/n Grant and Chris Evans, Couple to be? Or Not to Be?' we never really gave any information on our relationship status or the large fact that we were just best-friends.
After my shower I sat on my bed with my computer setting in my lap while I typed away. To me writing was a passion that never went away and most times I would write little stories for Chris for the nights he could not sleep. To him my story telling was intriguing and the concepts I used seemed to take him to another land far off in his brain. I was always happy to lend him a hand anytime he needed help going to sleep. Some nights he just wanted to hear me read to him even if he was tired to the bone. I had an audience, one that was willing to come sit and listen even if I never asked him too.
