In Which Time Travel Is Possible?

Before I start, this chapter isn't Peter-centric; it's just an idea that has been floating around my head for a while. 

Sorta Warning: Stony/Superfamily.

Actual Warning: Homophobic slurs and mentions of abuse.

Bucky laughed as he tickled the two-year-old Peter that he was babysitting for the night. The brunette curls on the infant's head flopped around as his squirmed in his uncle's arms; limbs flailing everywhere as his giggles filled the small house.

"Alright, time for bed, Pet-" Bucky was cut off as a bright light filled the room, his first instinct was to cover Peter's eyes and then his own, and then it was gone as soon as it came.

Bucky uncovered his and Peter's eyes to see a man with brown hair and back turned towards them.

"Excuse me, but what the hell are you doing in this house?" Bucky yelled and clutched Peter tighter.

The man turned around and Bucky nearly dropped the baby in his arms.

"Howard?" Bucky exclaimed at the same time the man exclaimed: "Barnes?"

"Barnes, how are you alive? Is this your kid? What year is this? The time machine must have worked!" Howard ranted to Bucky and himself.

"Time travel? What? Nevermind," Bucky said before answering Howard. "It's 2019 and no this isn't my kid. I'm babysitting for-" 

At that moment, Steve walked through the front door and had to double take. A man, who he hadn't seen in over 70 years, was standing in his living room and looking a lot older than he remembered.

"Oh my lord," Howard mumbled to himself and then turned to a very alive Captain America. "Steven Grant Rogers is alive! I knew they would find you."

"Dada!" Peter smiled completely unaware of the situation at hand.

Steve took his son out of his best friends arms and kissed the small boy's forehead.

"You have a son?" Howard asked proudly(?) and the looked down to see a gold band wrapped around Steve's ring finger. "Who's the lucky lady that you're married to?"

"Steve," A very familiar voice whined as they walked through the door. "Why'd you leave me in the car? We could have made out."

Howard's eyes widened in shock and then anger as he watched his older-looking son, with a matching wedding band to Steve's, take the small boy out of the Captain's arms as the small boy rapidly chanted "Daddy!"

"How dare you! No son of mine is ever going to be a faggot!" Howard angrily yelled at his son, who still hadn't noticed his presence, and watched as his face morphed into fear and realisation that his father was here.

"You are a Stark and Starks are meant to be perfect and smart men, not disappointments!" Howard continued ranting before he went in to hit his son - regardless of the small boy crying and screaming in his son's arms.

Howard's arm was caught by Steve who now started to yell at him: "Don't you ever yell at my husband or attempt to hit him with our son in his arms - especially not after the abuse you put him through as a child! I want you to leave this house now!"

Apparently, Howard was far too angry to register the furious super soldier in front of him and continued to yell.

"You're meant to be Captain America - the pinnacle of America's values and not some fag! And don't teach me how to parent my son!"

That statement pushed Steve over the line and he punched Howard in the face but had obviously pulled the punch as to not kill the man.

"As I said earlier, this is my house and I want you to leave my husband, my son and I alone and to leave this house immediately!" Steve growled.

Howard, however, still protested but Bucky decided to take matters into his own hands and kicked the man out of the house and locked the door. 

Howard's pounding could be heard on the door for the next ten minutes as Steve comforted his husband and settled his sone while Bucky went around the small house and locking all doors and windows to make sure that Howard couldn't get inside. 

After a while, a bright light, like the one Bucky had witnessed earlier, shined through underneath the curtains and Howard was gone.

So, I decided that after Steve and Tony got married, Tony bought a small but secure three-bedroom house for him and Steve to live and start a family at but still regularly visiting the tower. 

Peter is biologically Tony's (and Pepper's) by artificial insemination as Steve was worried that if their child was biologically his that the child would have all the health problems that he used to have before the serum. 

Bucky was babysitting Peter in this story as Steve and Tony were having their once a month date night.

Boy oh boy was that descriptive.

You know what, I didn't even have to explain all that but I felt the need to give some background info.

Stony isn't even my favourite ship - I prefer IronStrange and Stucky but whatever, Stony worked for this chapter.

I'm going to get killed for that statement about Stony.
