In Which Spider-Man's Identity Is Revealed

'Avengers Announce New Member Joining. Who could it be?'

It was all over the news. Everybody was speculating who it could be. Guess' were circling the internet. There was a press conference to be held in a few days time to announce who it was.

Peter, on the other hand, was a mixture of thrilled and nervous. He was thrilled because, on his 18th birthday, Mr Stark had offered him a place in the Avengers, again. Peter, of course, accepted this time.

However, he was nervous because he had to do a press conference to announce him joining the Avengers. But he also had to reveal his identity.

Peter's legs trembled as he stood backstage. He could hear the crowd and reporters shout questions at Tony Stark as he strode onto the stage, flashing his million-dollar smile. Peter was dressed in his Spider-Man suit with his mask on. From where he was, he could see Ned, MJ and May sitting up front, along with the other Avengers. He took deep breaths to ease himself.

"Welcome," Tony spoke into the microphone, full of confidence. "Now today we are all here-" Peter zoned out, he didn't know how long for.

"Please welcome our newest Avenger, Spider-Man!" He came back to reality when he heard himself being called on stage.

He strode out onto the stage, trying to have a lot of confidence in him. He smiled, even though everyone else couldn't see it underneath his mask and stood next to Tony at the stand.

"Hello everyone," His voice shook a bit but he brushed it off. "I'm Spider-Man, but you already know that. I would like to thank Mr Stark and the other Avengers for inviting me to join the Avengers again, the last time I didn't accept, but also," He pulled off his mask and the crowd gasped in shock, he was so young. "I would like to introduce myself as Peter Parker."

Everyone was in class except for Peter, Ned and MJ. They all just assumed that they ditched school.

"Okay, class," Mr Harrington interrupted them. "Today, as you may know, is a special occasion. Today, Tony Stark will be announcing the newest Avenger so we are going to watch the broadcast live."

Everyone erupted into cheers as the teacher pulled up the broadcast and everyone went quiet as they saw Tony Stark walk out onto the stage. They all sat in silence, barely being able to sit still in their seats as he spoke. They really wanted to know who the newest Avenger would be.

"Please welcome our newest Avenger, Spider-Man!" He spoke and the class gasped while some cheered as their speculations had been correct. Flash was the happiest as Spider-Man was his all-time favourite superhero. Spider-Man walked onto the stage.

"Hello everyone," Spider-Man's voice shook a bit. He must have been nervous. "I'm Spider-Man, but you already know that. I would like to thank Mr Stark and the other Avengers for inviting me to join the Avengers again, the last time I didn't accept, but also," He reached up for his mask and the class leaned in closer. He was about to reveal his identity! He pulled off his mask and the whole class, even the teacher yelled in shock-

"I would like to introduce myself as Peter Parker."
