13- Reverse Flash

(A/N Before you read this chapter I know the true backstory of who this villain is, I just decided to change somethings to make things interesting.)

"Barry? Barry, what's going on out there?" I asked him as I watched him speed through the city. He was chasing something, or someone. It was early in the morning too early for me to be up but I couldn't sleep. It had been a week since we caught Electro and I just wanted to be in the field.

"Its a Speedster, and he's fast." Barry said panting into the comms.

I watched as two projectiles appeared on the radar.

"Barry! Move!" I said quickly as two metal shrapnels came off the Speedster in front of him and just about pierced Barry's throat.

I quickly typed into the computer routing a new path.

"Barry listen to me, take the next right. Then take the first left and just go straight. If my calculations are correct you should be able to cut him off." I said as the chase continued.

Barry took a quick right and then another left.

Just as I thought the other speedster took a right just as Barry was crossing through the street. Barry leapt and sent a left hook across the speedsters face.

That was when I got a good look at his face.

It was something out of a nightmare.

His suit was completely black except his chest which was a blood red and a yellow lightning bolt. That wasn't was made him terrifying though, it was the piercing red eyes that seemed to stare straight through your soul.

"I can smell you bug." He snarled.

My eyes widened. He knew I was in Barry's ear.

The two quickly engaged in a fight that was even too fast for me to see, Barry quickly flipped him over his back and put a knee on his chest.

"Who are you?" Barry growled.

The man just laughed.

"Barry, Barry, Barry." He hissed as Barry put a pair of power dampening cuffs on him.

Barry stumbled back in shock. "H- how?"

"I'm surprised my brother hasn't said anything about me." The speedster said from his knees with his hands behind his back.

Police sirens wailed in the distance.

"Actually, that doesn't surprise me one bit. Not after he called me a monster for pushing my abusive father down the stairs and crippling him for life." He snarled.

"Who's your brother?" Barry asked him confused.

Police surrounded the two of them as Barry hoisted him to his feet.

The cuffs dropped to the ground behind the speedster as he rose to his feet.

Barry stepped back in shock as the speedster cocked his head to the side.

"I assume I'll be seeing you soon. Nephew in-law." The speedster said before disappearing in a flash of red lightning.

I leaned backwards in my chair as the team made their entrance into the Cortex, the whole team.

Barry leaned against Cisco's desk across the room as he was still trying to process what had just happened only hours before.

Cisco yawned when he walked in. "Okay you better have a damn good reason for why we're up at seven thirty in the morning."

"Hey, you kind of freaked me out when you weren't around this morning." Nora said sitting in the other chair.

"Sorry, I was helping Barry with a situation." I said to her.

"So what's up?" Joe asked.

"There's a new speedster in town." Barry said pointing at the picture I had put up on the glass board, next to Electro. I had written a question mark underneath it. "He can manipulate the metal on his suit, and he has metal claws attached to his fingers."

"He looks like something out of a nightmare." Nora said shivering.

"Joe, do you have a brother?" Barry asked.

Joe spit his coffee back into his cup, startled by what Barry said.

After a hesitant breath. He nodded. "Yeah, My father wasn't a very good man and he abused my little brother who was about ten years younger than me. One day he snapped and my brother pushed him down the stairs crippling him for life after that, he ran away and I haven't seen him since."

"What was his name?" Iris asked looking extremely pale than ever. "First, I had a secret brother and now you have a secret brother?"

"Daniel West." Joe said.

I grabbed a marker and stalked towards the board. "Daniel West." I said as I wrote it under the picture.

"You're joking?" Joe said.

Barry shook his head. "Luke and I did some digging and he was on a train in Keystone City a few months ago when it unexpectedly exploded. The train was using a dark matter designed engine."

Joe shook his head and waved at the board. "So how do we know he's part of the six?"

"He knew my name." Barry said. "And I doubt it stopped with me. He knew Luke was in my ear."

"This is a mess." Joe said rubbing his head. "I need some air."

A flash of red lightning exploded into cortex. He stalked around the room examining each and every one of us.

"Ah, the bug." He said dragging a metal finger nail down the right side of my face drawing blood. "I'd kill you now but the master wants you to himself."

He made eye contact with Nora. "There's something different about you speedster. You're not from here." He scowled.

I just about lunged at him the way he talked to but that was dumb and reckless.

"Ah dear niece." He said looking at Iris. "You look so much like your father. I'll make sure you watch me slit his throat." He said gazing at his metal fingers.

"The sidekicks." He said staring at Cisco, Caitlin, and Ralph. "You'll die first."

Yellow lightning flashed through the room and Daniel was now wearing power dampening cuffs covering his whole hand this time.

He started laughing like a maniac. "You fools, this is exactly what he wants."

A small dart went into his throat and he fell into Barry's arms unconscious.

"What the hell did you hit him with. Everyone knows normal tranqs don't work on speedsters." Barry said with wide eyes.

"It was for Grodd? I think. It was in the supply cabinet." Joe said shrugging.

"Hey look at me." Nora said.

I turned to face her and she wiped the blood off my face.

"Jeez that's actually pretty deep. You get hurt even when you're not in the field." She chuckled.

I shrugged and faced the rest of the team as Joe hauled him out with Ralph.

"We need to find the man behind the curtain." I said. "I can't even imagine what he has planned."

Barry looked at me.

"Nothing good, nothing good."
