I set the Big Belly Burger on the counter and dropped my keys on the counter as I entered my apartment.
My phone buzzed in my pocket.
"Are you home yet?" Nora's has texted me.
I typed out a quick reply. "Yeah just got home."
I rubbed the back of my neck and my stomach lurched. I felt nauseous, like I was about to vomit. I dropped my phone on the counter and ran to the bathroom where I fell to my knees and hurled into the toilet bowl.
I crossed my arms over the toilet and rested my forehead on my arms as I puked. I hated puking, it was one of my least favorite things in the world. Even when I was sick or drunk I didn't puke, and I wasn't sick even now so I didn't know why I vomiting.
Must've been the spider bite.
"Luke!?" I heard Nora call into the apartment.
I couldn't answer I was too busy throwing up.
I heard footsteps in the hall and the door creak a little bit.
"Oh my god, Luke. What's wrong? Are you okay?" She asked kneeling down next to me. I felt her hand on my back as she worried for me.
I turned my head and smiled at her. "I'm fine, don't worry about me."
"You text me, I come over, you're not here, you're over your toilet throwing up when you were perfectly fine an hour ago. What do you mean not worry." She said sitting back on her heels.
"It was just a little nausea spell from a bug that bit me on the way home, it'll pass." She didn't seem convinced.
"I'll meet you in the living room, I'm okay." I said smiling at her.
She smiled and left as I cleaned myself up. I nearly started vomiting again as I went to flush the toilet but it was out of disgust than sickness.
"You good?" Nora asked digging into the Big Belly Burger bag.
"Yeah I'm fine, hungry but fine." I said chuckling.
Nora was wearing a crop top that went to her belly button and a pair of grey sweatpants.
"Nice outfit." I said as I walked to the counter.
She put her hands in the air and spun around. "You like?"
I just laughed at her.
One thing I found out extremely quick about Nora was that she ate a lot and she ate crazy fast. She finished minutes before I did.
She grabbed a PlayStation controller and turned on the tv.
"What games you got?" She asked curious.
"All of them." I said as I swallowed a bite of food.
"Skyrim?" She questioned.
"Obviously. It's one of the best games ever made."
"Can I start a new game?" She asked me.
"Depends on how long you plan on being my friend." I said shrugging.
"So its a yes." She said excitedly.
