"I wanted things to stay the same, you and I, but you wanted more, you wanted to be like Cory and Topanga, You wanted to be married and you wanted a family...But I couldn't have given you that..." I shrug, looking at him.
"Couldn't give me? What do you mean?"
I looked down, not knowing what to say. "Shawn... I can't have kids"
"Why didn't you ever tell me?I would've married you still..."
"I was angry"
"Angry?"
"And hurt. I wanted to tell you, I was going to tell you, but you didn't let me explain. And I knew-"
"You can't have kids?"
I nod "Yeah..."
"Y/n, you should've just told me... It wouldn't have changed anything between us."
I smile slightly "Yeah, I kinda found out a few years after we broke up, by me not telling you it caused us to be over"
He nods "Y/n... I want a do over"
Me too...No, I can't feel this way, what about Garrett?
"I-"
"Y/n, I want us back... I love you... And I can't believe I let you go..." He leans closer to me, cutting me off.
"Me either..." I giggle, Almost subconsciously, leaning in "But, I think I love you too."
What am I saying?! I mean it's true... But Garrett...
Suddenly Riley and Maya burst into the room. "Awww" Riley says
"Ewww" Maya says
I laugh nervously.
"Maya- you're mom's here" Topanga yells
Maya gets a confused look on her face, but she turns around and walks towards the living room, Riley, Shawn and I, following suit.
"Maya you left- Shawn?"
"Katy?" Shawns expression changes
"You two know eachother?" Riley asks
Shawn and Katy nod.
I take a step back, looking between Mayas mom and Shawn.
"I never thought I'd see you again." She says
"Yea, me either." Shawn runs a hand through his hair, looking at me, as if noticing for the first time I was standing by him. "Um, this is my- Y/n..."
I extend my hand, grasping hers in a firm hand shake "Nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you" Katy smiles "But... Um... Since... You're here Shawn ... I have... Something... I need to... Tell you..." She says slowly.
He nods "Let's go to the hallway."
She nods at him
"Y/n, come with us." He says, grasping my hand.
"Oh I think-"
"Please?"
Sighing, I agree to go out there with them.
"Ok, what is it you wanted to tell me."
"Well you know that... One night... We had... Almost fourteen years ago... After you had gotten into a huge fight with your longtime girlfriend..."
"Yes... What about it?"
"I ended up getting pregnant." She said quickly.
I felt my eyes go wide in shock, and the color drain from my body.
Shawn had cheated on me... With Mayas mom...
I look at Shawn... He was extremely pale and his mouth was gaping open.
"You- you- Did you- Uh... Keep the baby?"
Katy nods, slowly. "Yeah... It's Maya"
"Are you telling me that, that girl in there, is my child?"
Katy nods again.
"Does she know?"
She shakes her head "The man she thought was her father... Walked out on her... She was still young... I couldn't bring myself to tell her..."
I realize I haven't taken a breath since Katy told Shawn he's a father, so I take a deep breath.
The door was slung open, revealing a group of people with various different expressions.
Cory and Topanga weren't shocked.
Mr. and Mrs. Matthews were.
Riley, Along with Josh, were shocked as well.
But Maya... Maya was angry.
"How could you not tell me something like this?!?!" She exclaims, tears in her eyes, "How?!?!"
Before her mom could answer her, she stormed out the door and down the steps, headed out of the building.
Katy turned to go after her.
"Let me... Please?" I ask
Katy nods and I follow after Maya
