Before I tell you my story, let me introduce myself- my name is Gabriella Dwyer, but everyone calls me Gabby. I have bright ginger hair and green eyes. It may not look like it, but I'm cousins with Will Jay Behlendorf. I live in Los Angeles with my mom and dad, but I don't hang out with Will that often. That was until the summer I turned 15. That was when I made some of the best and the worst memories of my life.

Gabby's POV*

"…in a house on the beach for the whole summer. Do you want to come with us?" my cousin, Will, asked me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Will was asking me to come with him, the other members of IM5, and his close friend, Dalton, to spend the summer in a beach house they were renting.

"Are you for real? You want me to come stay with you guys all summer?" I responded, still shocked by what he was asking.

"Yeah! C'mon, I hardly get to see you, and my friends will want to meet you," he said. I'm kind of shy, so I wasn't so sure meeting 5 new guys and spending the whole summer with them was the best idea.

"Um, I guess it sounds fun," I said, still unsure of myself. "Yeah, that would be great, actually. And my parents will let me do anything if it gets me outside, rather than reading more books."

"Yeah, you're kind of a nerd," he said with a laugh. "So, come to my house on Tuesday and we'll leave from there," Will told me. "Make sure you've packed enough to last you all summer."

"Okay, I'll see you then," I said, ending the call. Despite my nervousness, I realized that this vacation would probably be more exciting than rereading Harry Potter alone in my room for the 5th summer in a row. Will told me to meet him at his house on Tuesday, so that only gave me 2 days to pack enough clothes and books to last all summer.

Will's POV*

After Gabby ended the call, I decided I should probably tell the guys that she was coming. So after I texted David, Cole, Gabe, Dana, and Dalton to let them know that Gabby would be accompanying us, I started packing. I was halfway through when my phone started ringing. It was Dalton.

"Hello?" he said, when I picked up.

"Hey, Dalton. What's up?" I said.

"I wanted to ask you a question or two about your cousin, if that's okay with you," he added.

"Yeah, that's cool. What do you want to know about Gabby?" I asked him.

"Okay, you just answered my main question. I wanted to know her name," Dalton told me. "And what is she like? Is she really funny? Really quirky? Really sassy?" I thought that that could sound nothing less like Gabby.

"Gabby's really quiet, but I'm hoping that you guys can bring her out of her shell. She's really nice, and she's a bit of a nerd," I told him. He was quiet for a moment, something that doesn't happen very often with Dalton.

Then he said, "Okay. I have to go pack. See you Tuesday." And with that he ended the call.
