Gabby's POV*

I woke up with a yawn, remembering that it was the eleventh. I opened my eyes to see six smiling boys standing at the foot of my bed.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GABBY!!!" They all yelled.

"Come on, get up! We've got presents for you," Gabe said. He and Cole dragged me out of bed and out to the kitchen. I saw probably about fifteen boxes and bags lying on the table.

"I said you didn't have to get me anything," I complained to them. "Really, you guys are too sweet."

"Open them!" Dana said.

"Alright, alright. I will," I said as he handed me two gifts. I opened them to find a necklace bearing the Hogwarts emblem and a copy of Quidditch Through the Ages. "Aww. Thank you, Dana," I said, hugging him. "Here take this one," David said, hanging me an oddly shaped present. Inside, I found a pair of sweatpants that said Hogwarts on the side and a bar of chocolate.

"Thank you," I said giving him a hug as Gabe handed me his gift. I tore off the Batman wrapping paper to find a Batman snap back and a Deathly Hallows snapback.

"Okay so technically you don't get two snapbacks," he explained. "I wear the Harry Potter one and you wear the Batman one, and then, uh...yeah." I put on the Batman hat, and gave Gabe the other. He smiled when he realized I understood.

"Well, Will? What did you get your favorite cousin?" I asked with a cheeky grin. He pointed to four identically wrapped gifts.

As I opened it, he began to explain. "It's the Maze Runner series. I remembered you said you wanted it while ago, so here you go. Hope you like it."

"Will... I love it," I said. Cole silently handed me two boxes: One very small, the other rather large. The bigger one contained a t shirt that read Shy people are the best people, which made me laugh. The other box had a necklace with the letter "C" on it.

"That way when the summer ends and I, uh, w-we don't see you every day, you'll always remember me," he said.

"This is...amazing, Cole. Thank you so much," I said as he embraced me in a hug.

"There's still one left," Dalton said in a sing - song voice. I opened the gift bag to find a stuffed snowy white owl with a letter taped to its foot. "Uh, r-read the letter later. When, you're, um, alone. And yeah I saw the owl, thought of Hedwig, then thought of you." "It's great, Dalton. Thank you," I said, blushing slightly.

"Can we get breakfast? I'm starving," Will complained.

"Ooh, IHOP?" I asked. We all agreed, so I went to go get changed. I wore a lacey white skirt with a brilliant blue cardigan over a light purple blouse. I walked out of my room to see the guys dressed up in ties and dress shoes and pants, which made me laugh. "Did IHOP get a new formal dress code that I was unaware of?"

"We wanted to look snazzy for your birthday," Dalton said. We drove to IHOP and ate there, then we came back to go to the beach.

As I was getting changed, I decided to read Dalton's note. It was addressed to, "Ms. G. Dwyer, The Cupboard Under the Stairs, Little Whinging, Surrey." I ripped open the envelope to read the letter. It said, "Dear Ms. Dwyer, We are pleased to announce that you have a special place in my heart. I really like you, Gabby. Do you like me back? We await your reply no later than July 31. P.S. That means that you should send me a note in my room before that date. So, yeah. Most Sincerely, Dalton L. Rapattoni"

Woa. Did that really just happen? I had just gotten asked out by Dalton. I took out a piece of paper and wrote "Dear Dalton, yes. I do like you. Are we going out now? P.S. It's Gabby." I ran downstairs and placed it in front of his door. I lightly rapped on his door, then I quickly ran around the corner.

I heard him open the door. "What the... YES! SHE SAID YES!!" Dalton said. I could practically hear the smile on his face. I skipped back upstairs to go get changed. I was going out with my crush. Stuff like that doesn't really happen to girls like me- quiet, awkward, shy. But it did. And I was dating Dalton. This was turning into the best summer ever. But nothing gold can stay.
