Dalton's POV*

I left Gabby's room and headed downstairs to my room. Wow. She was perfect. She was beautiful, funny, sweet, caring, and a little bit sarcastic, but not enough for it to be thought of as mean. She was really shy, but that would change over time once she got to know us. Will told us to get in the car, so I walked downstairs to the ground floor. I saw Gabe giving Gabby a piggyback ride and how happy she looked. She looked nervous with me. I decided to try to put those thoughts aside during dinner and focus on hanging out with my old friends.

     "Whose driving?" I asked Gabe.

"Cole is, I think," he told me. Dana and Will came running down the stairs, followed closely by David, then came Cole.

"Shotgun!" Dana yelled as the rest of us piled into the back two rows. Will and David sat in the back and, to my liking, Gabby sat between Gabe and I.

"Oh, hi Dalton!" Gabby said cheerfully when she saw me. I gave her a bright smile before she turned back around to talk to Gabe. When we got to the pizza place, we sat in a big booth with Gabe, Gabby, and Dana on one side, Cole, David, and I on the other, and Will brought a chair over and sat at the head. The waiter took our order, then all heads turned to Gabby, whose face turned beet red.

"So Gabby, what do you like to do?" David asked just as Cole asked the same question.

"I-I like to, um, uh, read," she stammered. "And photography and drawing."

"Do you like to sing?" Dana asked her.

Gabe started to say something, but he was cut off by Gabby who gave an abrupt, "No. Not really." I could tell that she was relieved when the waiter came with our drinks and she was out of the spotlight. "I, um, have a, uh, question," Gabby said.

Dana gasped then said, "It speaks!"

Gabby gave an embarrassed smile then said, "If you guys are in a boy band, don't you have, concerts and stuff to do over the summer?"

"Yea, I was wondering that as well," Dalton said.

"We're taking a break over the summer," Cole said. "We might to go to a few parties or do U streams, but we aren't going to do any concerts."

     "Oh, okay," Gabby said.

Once we finished dinner, we drove back to the house. It was a really beautiful night, so we decided to go down by the ocean. We brought a football, Frisbee, and a box of Coke. Gabby brought a chair and a book. I saw that she was reading Harry Potter.

"So, Gab. You like the boy who lived?" I said, sitting down next to her.

"Hm? Wha- oh, yea," she said, smiling.

"Me too, have you read the series before?" I asked her.

"It's my fifth time reading it," Gabby said, sounding less nervous than before. "ABC Family's having Harry Potter weekend starting Friday."

"YESSSS!" I said, making her smile. I stood up to go play football with the guys. Gabby was watching us while reading her book and listening to music from her phone. Cole threw the ball to Gabe, who made an amazing catch.

"And that my friends is called SKILL," he said with a bow.

Gabby's POV*

While I was watching them play football on the beach, I realized how beautiful the ocean was. And that's when I saw it. A bunch of dolphins were swimming on the horizon.

     "Whoa," I said to myself.

"Red? What time is it?" Gabe asked me. I checked my phone, then held up seven fingers. "Guys, wanna go inside and watch a movie?" They all agreed, so we went inside and, to my great dislike, decided on a horror movie. I sat in between Will and Gabe. I kept my head buried in Gabe's shoulder through the whole movie, while Will kept his head buried in my shoulder. I guess our hate for horror movies is a family thing.

Gabe's POV*

While we were watching the movie, I noticed that Gabby was getting scared. Like a lot. I put my arm around her like an older brother sort of thing and she got slightly less tense.

Once the movie was over, it was around 9:30. "Wanna go play ping pong downstairs?" I suggested.

"I'm tired, so no," Dana said. "But you guys go."

We all went downstairs and us guys had ping pong tournament while Gabby listened to music on her phone and watched us. She was great. I wasn’t in love with her, but I loved her in the way you do a best friend.
