When I woke up, I packed all my stuff away; my clothes, my completed Maze Runner series, my completed Harry Potter series, my camera, etc. It was sad to think that I wouldn't see my new friends everyday, but I still would see them. I had just finished packing when I heard a knock at the door.

"Uh, Gabby? Can I come in?" It sounded like Cole.

"Yeah, sure," I said. "It's open."

He walked in and wrapped his arms around me. "I love you, Gabby. I'm going to miss you so much."

"I'm going to miss you, too, but we'll still see each other," I said.

"Yeah, I know, but it's not the same. You don't live that close by, so it'll be harder to see each other," Cole complained.

"Come on, let's go meet up with the others, okay?" I suggested.

     "Okay," he said.

"Oh, I see. You watch TFIOS one time and suddenly you think you have the right to quote it," I teased.

We walked into the living room, dragging our bags behind us. Dana and Gabe were already there, and Will walked in right behind us.

"David's still packing," Will explained. As if on cue, he came downstairs.

"So I guess this is it?" Dana said, dismally. "I'm gonna miss you, Gabby." We exchanged a melancholic hug.

I said farewell to David, then came the harder ones. "I'm going to really miss you, Batman," I said, hugging him.

"You're stuck with me for the car ride, so don't say 'bye' just yet," Gabe teased.

"Cole, thank you for everything. I had a great summer and I-I love you," I admitted. His face lit up, and he squeezed me in the tightest hug imaginable.

"I want something like what you two have. It's adorable," David whined.

"Well," I began, smirking. "I know this girl that you might like..."

"Really? What's she like?" he asked, eagerly.

"Her name is Lexi, she's a cheerleader, and she's super sweet. She's also my best friend," I explained.

"Can you, uh, give me her digits?" David asked. "Wait, do you think she'll like me?"

"I've been sending her pictures all summer and she has a huge crush on you. Your chances are pretty high," I said, giving him Lexi's phone number.

Then, I turned to Will. "It was great seeing you. I'm really going to miss you, Will," I said, hugging him.

"And we're not going to be able to see each other because you live so far away!"

"You...you don't know where I live, do you?" He shook his head. "Well, I don't know the exact distance, but it's about three blocks away from your place."

"Oh, well I'm stupid," Will laughed.

Gabe, Will, and I got into Gabe's car and began the drive home. Just as fun as last time, but now with a less fun destination ahead of us. Once we were back at Will's house, I said a final goodbye to Gabe, and waited for my mom with Will.

"So...did you have fun?" he asked.

"Are you kidding? It was the best summer I've ever had. I had two boyfriends, made amazing new best friends, and spent time with my favorite cousin. What could be better?"

Once my mom came, I said goodbye to Will and the best summer ever finally came to a close. Through the years I remained best friends with Gabe and I am still great friends with Dana and David. Speaking of David, he and Lexi have had a wonderful relationship and are probably going to be together for a while. As for Cole and I, we've stayed together through a lot, and it won't be ending anytime soon. And Dalton? Well, none of us actually heard from him again, but Fly Away Hero's doing well, and we wish him the very best of luck.
