Bay knocked her cane against the bottom of the door gently, before hearing Olivia tell her to come in. Bay took a few moments before opening the door. She walked in and shut the door before turning to look at her mother.
"Hey, Bay. I'm so glad that you are finally here." Olivia smiled. She looked exhausted, and Bay didn't know what to feel right now.
"I'm sorry that I didn't get here earlier... I was trying to be a good girlfriend to Wes, and that made me hurt you and disappoint you." Bay whispered.
"Right now is not the time to do this, Bay," Elliot warned, and Bay nodded slowly before she quickly wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"Not everything is about me. I know. So, I guess it's my turn to meet Noelle?" Bay asked, and Olivia nodded slowly. Bay walked across the tiles as her cane click along beside her. The weird noise woke up Noelle and the baby started to cry. Bay's eyes went wide.
"It's okay, Noelle. Momma and Daddy are here for you." Elliot spoke, as he quickly sank down onto the bed beside Olivia and helped her calm down their baby. Bay picked up her cane and stumbled from the room and into the hall.
"Bay?" Maureen asked as Bay tried to get away from the room where the first thing she did was make her baby sister cry.
"Leave me alone." Bay cried.
"What happened?!" Maureen asked as she headed towards Bay. Bay stopped and looked at Maureen.
"I think that Wes is going to break up with me. I didn't get to hold Noelle first as Mom and Dad promised me. I go in there and I tell Mom that I'm sorry that I disappointed her and hurt her, but then Dad said it wasn't the time. Then I go to hold Noelle, and I make her cry because my cane makes noises. I'm a freak, a horrible girlfriend, a horrible daughter, and a horrible big sister. And please don't follow me, Maureen. I just need some space right now. I'm going to go home, so make sure that if they ask, that that is where I am."

Bay wondered why she always got these feelings. She hated disappointing anyone, and the feeling got worse when she disappointed Wes, her mother, and her father. She felt like she was a monster, one that spreads it's toxins everywhere they go. Bay hated feeling like this and hated how it seemed to be the only emotions she felt. Guilt, embarrassment, disappointment, worthlessness.
"I know you told me not to follow you, but when my little sister is as upset as you were when you left the hospital, I couldn't just sit and wait to see what might happen if you are alone," Maureen spoke, as she walked down the hall towards Bay's room.
Bay was sitting in the middle of her bed with a long ass message from Wes on her screen. She hadn't had the heart to read it because she felt like it was going to be a breakup text.
"I'm not going to do anything, Maureen." Bay breathed, as she locked her phone and sat it on her bedside table.
"Okay because I was honestly thinking that I was going to have to see something that I didn't want to see when I got here," Maureen admitted. Bay frowned as she looked over at her older sister.
"Maureen, can you do me a favor?" Bay asked, and Maureen nodded.
"I can do anything for you," Maureen replied. Bay grabbed her phone and unlocked it before passing it to her sister.
"Read that message to me, okay? I need to know if Wes is breaking up with me or not. I don't want to break up with him, but I'm such a horrible-"
"Bay, congrats on the new baby sister. I know how absolutely excited you were to get to hold her first. My mother called me before she left Manhattan, and she said that you didn't get to hold her first, and it's my fault. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I made it seem like I don't love you because of how you always come up with excuses to not hang out with me. Or that what you decide for us to do is boring. But it isn't. I like hanging out with your family because you are always so happy around them. You aren't a horrible girlfriend, and if I would've taken your word for it, you would've made it back in time to meet your baby sister first. If you can possibly forgive me, I'd like to still date you and still love you. And I hope you still want to date me and love me too. And... I want to marry you, Bay Stabler. Not now, but in the near future. That's what I want, and I hope you want it too."
Maureen finished reading the text, before looking at her sister with a smile on her lips.
"He wants to marry me?" Bay asked, her eyes wide.
"Sounds like it. I guess it wasn't a breakup text after all." Maureen smiled.
"I guess not," Bay replied quietly. She grabbed her phone back and locked it again before sitting it back down.
"I told Liv and Dad what you said. Do you ever feel like they aren't going to love as much because they have a new baby?" Maureen asked, and Bay nodded slowly.
"All the time. Why?" Bay asked.
"Because I felt the same way when my mother had Kathleen, then the twins, and even Eli. But it's like that when a new baby is born, their love expands. They had a certain amount of love to start with, and if you think about it, Liv has the biggest heart of all women in the world so she has plenty of love to give to all seven Stabler kids." Maureen spoke.
"What about the fact that Noelle is the only biological child that my mother has?"
"She has two, Bay. Don't you forget that? You are her child, biological in her mind because you were her first child. You and Noelle are her biological children." Maureen spoke. Bay bit her lip before sighing and looking down at her hands.
"I guess that I need to just get over myself. Get used to being a horrible monster of a sister. Noelle is just gonna have to accept that too." Bay spoke, before looking over at her cane that was leaning against her dresser.
"Wanna go meet Noelle?" Maureen asked, and Bay bit her lip.
"Can you walk with me so I don't have to use my cane?" Bay asked, and Maureen nodded.
"Of course. And I'm sure I can find you a new cane that doesn't make noises that scare our baby sister." Maureen grinned, before leaning forward and hugging her sister tightly.
