Bay barely got to see Noelle her first day home. Elliot was always swooping in to grab Noelle before Bay got her hands on her. And it didn't help that the other kids were with Kathy, because that meant no one could stand up for Bay when she was hiding her feelings.
"Are you heading to bed?" Olivia asked late that night. She was walking into Bay's dimly lit bedroom when she asked.
"Yeah, I think so. I'm tired. Hanging out with my boyfriend took a lot out of me." Bay replied as she plugged her phone in to charge for the night.
"Everything okay?" Olivia asked her daughter, and Bay nodded slowly.
"Yeah, everything is perfectly fine. I'm just tired." Bay replied. Olivia shut the door and walked over and sat down on the foot of Bay's bed. She reached out and grabbed Bay's hand and squeezed it gently.
"Did you and your father have a good talk?" Olivia asked, and Bay shook her head.
"Not really. But we really haven't had a good talk in a while. My injury seems to still be standing in the way. Because I'm really different." Bay spoke.
"He's overly protected of Noelle," Olivia spoke, and Bay nodded slowly.
"Oh, yeah. I know that. He was asking about what Wes and I had talked about when we were hanging out. But I couldn't tell him because I feel like he would just push it aside because I'm not one of his favorites." Bay breathed.
"Well tell me... because I will always have time for you," Olivia replied.
"Momma, Wes and I were talking about getting married. Like, maybe sooner rather than later." Bay whispered. Olivia closed her eyes tightly, before forcing a smile.
"That's great, kid." Olivia smiled. Bay bit her lip before squeezing her mother's hand.
"I guess you aren't too happy about it either," Bay replied.
"Hey-"
"No... I don't want you to pretend to be happy and I don't want Dad to pretend that he came up to my room to talk to me when I know you told him too." Bay frowned.
"No. Don't do that, Bay. We love you. We really do. And I'm excited to know that you found the guy you want to be with. And when you are still so young. It took me forever to win your father over, and one girl running away."
"Mom-" Bay started, but Olivia shook her head. She shifted up and laid beside Bay, before drawing her daughter close and caressing her hair.
"Noelle is going to need you soon." Bay breathed, but she liked being held by her mother. It made her feel so safe.
"Your father can bring her in here when she needs to be fed. Until then, it's just me and you, girly."

Olivia and Bay didn't get a lot of time together before Elliot came in and told her that Noelle was fussy and needed her. He didn't say anything to Bay, he just walked out of the room as soon as Olivia sat up and moved to leave.
Once Olivia got into her and Elliot's bedroom, she saw her husband climb into bed and she didn't hear Noelle crying.
"Noelle is sleeping." Olivia frowned, as she checked in on her baby.
"I know, and you need to be sleeping too. Get into bed." Elliot spoke, before patting Olivia's side of the mattress.
"You just came in there to ruin my time with Bay. You are such a dick lately, and I wanna know why." Olivia huffed.
"Can't I be worried about your health? Making sure you get enough sleep?" Elliot replied with a huff.
"That is not what you were worried about! You still have something against Bay, and it's stupid! Our child is not someone you have to protect me from!" Olivia spat, as she paced the length of the room.
"I want our family to be perfect... and she just causes more drama. She makes us all stressed. Just like when she got depressed around our wedding. Or when she ran back to the lodge when she said she'd be home. She ran away to be with Loren when we decided to punish her for doing something we didn't want her to do." Elliot spat back.
"So are you gonna kick the rest of your kids out?" Olivia questioned.
"No. Why would I do that?!" Elliot laughed, bitterly.
"Because if you want a perfect family, shouldn't it just be you, me and Noelle? No half-children should be apart of our lives." She growled.
"They are different."
"No, they aren't. Because Noelle is our child together. Your kids with Kathy aren't biologically my children. And Bay isn't my kid either and you've made that clear. So then if you want a perfect fucking family, then we shouldn't have any kids other than Noelle in our family." Olivia replied.
"Hey-"
"No. If Bay isn't perfect for our family. Then Maureen, Kathleen, the twins, and Eli aren't either. You can't kick our injured daughter out just because you want to."
"I can do what I want," Elliot yelled, which woke up Noelle.
"You can't do this. And if you dare try to hurt our daughter again, I will fucking leave you and take Bay and Noelle with me. Trust me. You don't want to try me on this."

Bay heard it all. And she had a hard time not getting upset about what her father said. She didn't cry. She didn't scream. She didn't run out. She just continued to lay in her bed and think.
She got rid of her cane for her baby sister.
She slept in the waiting room at the hospital just to meet her sister and to see her mother, but then her father decided she wasn't good enough to see them.
And now she knew why... she knew how her father truly felt about her and it didn't make her feel good.
"Wes?" Bay breathed when she heard her boyfriend answer his side of the call.
"It's late, Bay," Wes replied with a yawn.
"As soon as we turn 18, do you wanna get married?" Bay asked.
"If that's what you want," Wes replied.
"Good, because that is what I want."
