Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

Chapter 7:

Cameron pulled me out of the ally and into the sidewalk crowds. He walked beside me the whole time, holding onto me, protecting me.

There were so many people, sidewalk stores and sales surrounding us. I had no idea where we were going, but we were tearing through the crowds. Cameron pulled me into a Starbucks, and I internally fangirled. There used to be a Starbucks in Centralia, and I came across it one day. It was so modern and cozy, there were only two people working there, and nothing was fresh, but I loved it.

When Cameron walked into the line, I remembered that I had no money. Shit. He turned around. "Whadda you want?"

"Um, it's okay, I don't want anything."

"Yes you do. What do you want?"

"I didn't bring any money, so I'm good."

"It's on me, whadda you want?"

"Can I have a Nutella frappé?"

"Thank you, yes you can."

That's the only thing I'll preferably drink from Starbucks. Cameron ordered our drinks, paid, and we walked out of the store. I looked up at the big clock in the middle of the city. It said 3:00pm. Five more hours until I have to be home. Cameron guided me around the city, showing me his favorite places. Everything was so lit up and colorful. People were so friendly and compassionate. It was so weird.

Cameron and I sat down on a broken brick wall with our Starbucks. I looked out at the world, then back at Cameron. "Can I ask you something?"

"Why do girls always ask if they can ask a question. Just ask it."

"Okay well. What do you think about the OFS in the other village?"

Cameron chuckled and looked down at the ground. "I think they are fuck ups. I mean, yeah my ancestors did some shit to them, but that was like what? A hundred years ago." He shrugged. "They need to get over it and move on."

"What do you mean?"

"They burn our churches on a yearly basis."

"Yeah, it's stupid as fuck."

"I guess."

Things started getting awkward after that, and I really didn't want Cameron knowing about who I was. "Thanks for today, but I really have to go."

Cameron got up and when I got up and went to give him a hug, he awkwardly pulled away. "I'm sorry, I don't do the whole hug thing."

"Oh, um, yeah no worries." I played with my necklace awkwardly. "I should go."

"I can walk you home."

"No, no, no."

"It's fine, I want to."

"No its okay, I'm kinda independent."

"Oh yeah, I understand." He seemed hurt and walked away.

"Cameron!" He turned around. "It's not like that. I just, need to walk myself home tonight."

"Oh, okay." He gave me a goofy smile before leaving.

I still never got a hug.

A/N: Short chapter, I'm sorry. :/
