"Cameron?" He pressed a finger to my lips and motioned for me to be quiet. He pointed downstairs but I didn't know what he was getting at. I gave him a questioning look, and he guided me into my mother's room and then over to her window.

Outside; houses were burning, and had been burning for so long that they were almost all the way to the ground. Families frantically ran around and older people were falling and dying in their attempts to leave their smoke infested house.

My eyes darted from house to house but I couldn't find anyone who was attempting to burn houses down. I looked around at the houses in sight, and I realized that mine, along with three others were left untouched.

"Cameron, what's going on?" I said in a whisper as my hand rested against the glass of the window, my soul aching to save those people.

"Someone is burning down your village." I gave him a stern look regarding his brief answer. "You remember Zach?"

"Yes."

"At six o'clock this morning, he banged on my front door and told me to come with him to this village. I didn't know why. Until, once we were already in your forests, he explained to me his plan. Then he told me to save you, and I asked why, since you know, you lied to me and I didn't know you lived here."

It was like smack in the face and the word echoed in my ears. Lied to me.

"I'm sorry." I whispered.

A sudden, nerve rattling scream broke the silence. I instinctively looked out my window and my eyes were dragged to the bloody mother of mine, laying dead on the floor. I looker around, trying to find any sign of Zach, but it was too late, a black hoodie was already running out of our forest and back to his village.

Tears began swelling up in my eyes, and it took every ounce of power I had not to cry in front of Cameron. I was still looking out the window when I felt Cameron's strong arms turn me towards him, and pull me to his chest as his loving arms took me in.

Pressed against Cameron's chest, I could hear his heart beat... It was irregular. It echoed through my body, and suddenly every piece of my wanted him. His lips, his arms, his hands. I just wanted him.

Tears started falling from my eyes uncontrollably. My body started shaking and I began sobbing. I could feel Cameron's shirt getting wet from my tears. Cameron started softly stroking my back, trying to calm me. "It's okay. It's all going to be okay. I wil-"

"No it's not!" I yelled through my tears as I pushed myself away from him. "I love you! Nothing will ever be okay!"

I love you. I said it. I actually said it. I don't even know what love feels like. I've never experienced it before. But he was here to save me, and he did... I love Cameron.

Cameron took my right hand and pulled me closer to him. I couldn't resist so I let him pull me back so I was pressed with his body. He placed his lips firmly on mine and began kissing me intensively. His lips were soft and caring and gentle on mine. They weren't cold or sad or violent. The depth of love I was in right now was uncharted. I was so unreasonably in love with Cameron and this kiss was tying it.

We finally pulled away, and Cameron's eyes were locked on mine. I was still in his arms, and I couldn't make myself look away. But finally I did and I looked back out the window.

The fires had begin to die down, and people were clearing out of the center of the village and making their way deeper into the village, maybe to come across another one. But most people, were going to the two larger houses that hadn't been burned down.

I looked back at Cameron and he frowned. "Come live with me."

"Cameron, my house is fine though."

"You can't possibly expect to live here."

"Why?"

"Zach told me to save you and he's gonna kick my ass if I don't bring you back."

I got up and grabbed my bookbag. I ran to my bedroom and started packing clothes and a hygiene kit. I got out of my room and was about to run back to my mother's bedroom, but Cameron was waiting at my door. "I'm ready."

Cameron just smiled and pulled me down the stairs with him. When we reached the bottom stairs, he stopped and turned to me. "I love you too."
