During class the next day Kaito was called to the office. Kaito was nervous. "Mr. Momota do you know why I called you down here?" Jeffree asked.

"No."

A police officer walked in. "You were at the hospital last night, weren't you?" she asked.

"Uh, yeah?"

"No one saw anyone else enter Mr. Ouma's room but you"

"What are you getting at? I went to visit Kokichi after I and Shuichi admitted Kaede to the hospital."

"You're the prime suspect for pulling his cord"

"WHAT!?"

"Sir please calm down"

"I would never! I'm literally shaking and crying rn!"

"No one saw anyone entry his hospital room but you Mr. Momota"

"But I would never kill anyone! I had no reason to!"

"Most of the evidence points to you"

" I did nOT"

"Sir please calm down!"

"nOOOOO"

She processed to pin him down and put handcuffs on him.

"I'm innocent! I'm innocent!"

"Sir calm the fuck down!" She yelled.

Kaito began to cry, the police officer then took him to the station.

Kaito was sobbing.

He was taken to an interrogation room, and he was upsetii.

Another officer walked into the room sitting down in the chair in front of Kaito.

"I didn't do it..."

"I want to believe I really do, can you please do something for me? So I can help you get out?" He says in a gentle tone.

"Sure! Anything!"

The officer smiled putting a diagram of a life support system. "Can you put to the cord that would keep someone alive?"

Kaito narrowed his eyes and pointed to the right cord. "That one, right? I have like ten minutes of medical training."

"Okay good, now can you point to the cord that connects to the monitor?" He was talking to Kaito like he was 5.

He pointed to the other cord. "Uh...that one?"

"Good job buddy! I'll be back in a minute" the officer said getting up.

Kaito sighed. "I passed, right? I passed medical school, after all..."

"I'll explain more in a minute" he says leaving the room.
Kaito was nervous af.

The officer came back "You're free to go little guy, since you got the cords correct there's no way that if you were trying to kill him, since you knew what cord would actually kill him"

He sighed. "Oh thank god."

"However you're not off the hook completely, if we find more evidence that points to you, you're gonna be in huge trouble" the officer from before explains.

"I didn't do it though! I've been framed!"

"Sir, calm down."

"Okay, Okay..."

Kaito left after that.

Everyone wanted to know what happened. Kaito breathily explained,
"I WAS ACCUSEEEEEED!!!" Kaito screeched.

"I mean...the logic makes sense" Alex says.

Kaito then cried. Poor guy. Shuichi patted his back.

Everyone was paranoid that the killers would come out at any moment. And Kaito McMomota was the prime suspect.

Later on the group all met up expect for Kaito, he said that he had something important to do. Everyone was suspicious.

"Shuichi...there's something we have to talk about..." Dark Pit says.

"What?" Shuichi asked, looking impatient. He was worried about Kaito.

"We've been talking and...we think Kaito is one of the killers..." Alex says.

"He would never I'm shaking and crying rn"

"How many people have died when didn't know where he was? We didn't know where he was when the body was found at school, none of us saw him when Teruteru died, and no one was seen when Kokichi's cord almost got pulled" Habit explains.

"But he was attacked by the killers!"

"That could of been faked, make himself look less sus"

"But then Kaede was attacked WHILE I was talking to him!"

"Other people, he coulda got other people to pretend"

"Well, Kaito didn't do it! I'm certain!"

"Bet you won't say that when he's on the electric chair." Habit comments.

"Shut up, Habit." They all said.

Habit shrugs
