The sun blazed through the hospital curtains hitting me in the face as I woke up. I looked around the hospital, now not even having to adjust myself to the surroundings as I had finally faced myself with the truth.

As I was looking around my head stopped to the right side of the room, seeing the monitors flashing and beeping. They had beeped like this since I had been in the hospital and I still wasn't used to the noise.

I thumbled and fidgeted in the bed as my thoughts pondered through my mind about my operation. It was finally here. I was finally going to get my operation.

I tried to think about long winded positive thoughts but couldn't help but creep back to the negativity.

Is something going to happen?
Am I going to...

My thoughts hit me like a bullet to the chest and I couldn't help but cry.

I tried to not let my tear consume me, but as I lay on the hospital bed I couldn't help but think about it.

I had been dreading this operation since I was told I had to go through with it as I knew I would be in more dwindling pain as the recovery was very slow.

I lifted my hand of the edge of the bed and placed it on my abdomen, trying to reassure myself, but I failed in doing so and started to cry more, waking Killian up in the process.

He sat up in the bed, knocking his head of my shoulder where it was collapsed upon previously. As he manoveored his body he sat up and looked at me.

I tried not to look straight into his eyes, trying not to fulfil myself of his emotion. "Emma?" He spoke shocked, his calm tone not as it was before. Not as I had remember it to be.

I didn't answer back, for I was still consumed with the tears and I was still struggling to hide my emotions. He turned to look at me and I tried to look away. "Emma," He started to speak, his voice gradually decreasing with his tone of happiness. "Emma, are you okay?"

As he said this he placed his hand on my abdomen, and rested his hook on my back. I squinted as he placed his hand onto my abdomen and he noticed me doing so. He didn't take his hand of, but instead his rubbed it back and forth trying to remove the pain.

I spoke in a trembling voice to him, still not looking at him. "I'm, scared." He then looked over at me and from the corner of my eye I could see his eyes turn watery. "Emma..."

He turned my body towards him and this time i did not hesitate and allowed him to do so.

He sat looking into my hollow eyes and I sat looking into his, trying not to let my tears escape. "Emma," He began talking, his voice like a blanket to my fears.

"I know your scared love, I'm scared too. But after all of this you can finally start to get better and start to be happier." He began talking his voice a glimmer. His voice trembled with his sadness and confidence wrapped together, consumed.

"I love you." I blurted out my voice a whisper and as I did this Killian pulled my into a tight hug, my head resting on his shoulder. "I love you too."

Me and Emma sat both enjoying each others company until the time hit us like a bullet to the chest. 11am.

It was exactly an hour until Emma was due into the operating theatre and this was the time which we both decided we would finally get moving.

Emma pushed her head of my shoulder and looked up at me, giving me a single nod, worth a million words. "Come on love, let's go get you ready." I spoke to her, mumbling into her caressed hair.

She looked at me. "Do you want to get someone to help you move me?" She asked, her eyes widening every millisecond with continuous curiosity.
I looked back at her before kissing her on her cheek. "No, I'll be okay love."

I got of the bed as she nodded and climbed up the edge of her bed pulling myself up closer to her pillow. She sat watching me, her eyes content.

She gave the nod of approval and I pulled her body into mine. She collapsed into my shoulders in a heap as I pulled her tight, also pushing her pillows upwards so she could sit comfortably.

With my hook wrapped tightly around her back, I placed my hand underneath her legs and pulled her backwards onto the pillow lifting her carefully of the bed ever so slightly.

When she remained her original spot on the bed, I pushed her pillows back onto her leg, keeping it upright.

After I had finished this, I climbed back of the bed and walked around the edge of the bed to grab her other hospital gown. I then walked back around and climbed onto to the bed and sat between her legs.

"Come on love let's get you changed." I soothed her, with my voice. "Yeah, let's do this." She smiled weakly back at me. "I'll try not hurt you love." I smiled back at her. She smiled back at me reassuringly before she gestured me to start. "I know pirate."

I then carefully took her old gown of, trying not to touch her abdomen. As I was doing so, my hand slipped and landed on her abdomen, making her groan in pain. I stopped for a minute ready to apologize but Emma gripped my hand reassuringly, squeezing it and pushed me to finish.

After changing her gown Doctor Whale came in the room and spoke to the both of us. "We are ready for you, the porter is on his way." We nodded and awaited the porter hand in hand and when he came we were taken down the corridor to the operating theatre.

We nodded our thanks and Emma was pushed to the entrance, still squeezing my hand.

Doctor Whale patted me on the back. "We'll take it from here." He smiled nervously.

My jaw draped open as I questioned his speech. "What? Can't I come in?" I felt slightly angered awaiting his response. "I'm sorry Mr Jones, we can't allow anyone in." He chuckled nervously. I took a deep breath and spoke back to him. "Please just give us a minute." He nodded and head in, leaving me and Emma to ourselves.

I turned to look at Emma on the bed and she looked at me. She gripped my hand as she spoke trying to hold her nerves. "Killy, don't worry. Everyone knows what they are doing and I'll be okay." She smiled weakly at me.

I took a deep breath. "I'll be here love, I'm just outside. I'm not going anywhere." A singular tear escaped across Emma's cheek. She let go of my hand and pulled me in closer to her. She interlinked her lips with mine and kissed me passionately.

Doctor Whale came back outside. I whispered into her ear. "I love you Emma Swan." She smiled at me and nodded back. "I love you too." She remained her grip on my hand until she was pushed into the room and her hand slipped away from mine.

"Always and forever."
