The ride over to the hospital felt ground breaking to me.
I am relieved over the fact that Emma is okay, I am glad that she is safe.
I keep my hand on her for the whole of the fly back, occasionally stroking her hair or rubbing her stomach back and forth.
She is so pale, so lifeless. The only indication I have that she is still with us, still with me, are the tears occasionally dripping of her face and the monitor beeping at a regular pace.
We are about half way back to Storybrooke, nearly back to help, when the life support machine lying next to Emma, attached to the stretcher starts to beep rapidly.
The machine has a long rapid beep and I turn back, shocked and I look at Emma, my adrenalin is pumping through my veins.
She is lying on the bed, her eyes pop open and she is breathing loud gasps in a irregular pattern, penetrating through her throat.
Dr Whale is taking immediate action and he runs over to Emma, checking the machine every minute or so to check if she is still breathing.
He attaches a mask to her pale white face and starts to compress it, pushing it up and down, intersecting between each slowly fading breath.
"Emma?" I try to scream at the top of my lungs, but all my words are lost in the craziness of the situation.
I look up at Snow, she's just as shocked as I am, occasionally crying out for Emma, but once again, this is transfixed through the craziness. She moves away from the machine, trying to not look at the slowly decreasing beeps and moves towards me.
I suddenly start to cry again, knowing that this is it. This is the moment I loose the love of my life. The moment in which everything changes.
Snow comes and stands next to me. I place a hand on my face to soak up all the tears dripping down my face. I turn to look at her as she turns to look at me and I just collapse on her shoulder as she pulls her arms around me. We stand there transfixed in all the madness as Doctor Whale tries his best to help Emma.
Emma... Come back to me...
