"Wow," I stood breathless at the cremace of the door. "That was beautiful Killian." A jump came from the side of me as he nearly dropped his guitar. "Regina?! Bloody hell! How long have you been standing there for?!" He turned to look at me, a shocked expression growing across his face, as I sat on the step. "Long enough to hear that." I pointed to the sheet of paper and the guitar. "That was amazing, I didn't know you could sing, nevermind write songs."
I watched as he fiddled with the paper before shoving it in the drawer and putting his guitar down the side of the chair, underneath as to what looked like a make-do bed. "You shouldn't have heard that, I was just messing around." He crossed his arms across his chest and still seemed to be shocked. "Well I did. You can't just pretend that never happened. You were amazing." I smiled at him in an attempt to cool him down.
"Yeah? Well the person I wrote it for can't hear it, so forget about it. It's stupid anyways." I went down the steps to the make-do bed and sat on the edge. "Why can't she hear huh?" "Well for starters Queenie she's in..." I placed a hand up to his face. "Don't get all snarky with me pirate, I meant she's only across the town, and I can take you, we still have..." I checked my watch "45 minutes until her operation." I watched as his eyes sparked at the mention of the operation.
Killian's POV:
"What?! The operation?! I thought that was scheduled in a we..." I stopped and checked my watch. January 9th. It's been a week. It's been a week since bloody Whale told us. Seven whole days. "Bloody hell!" I heard a remark come from Regina as she sat up next to me. "So the pirate's brain has returned, good to know." I rolled my eyes as I scrunched down into the edge of the bed, rubbing my eyes in an awkward conversation until Regina interrupted my train of thoughts. "Hey, so your not going then?" I noted the suprise in her tone, her whole voice.
"In case you haven't realised, I've been gone for a whole bloody week, ignoring everyone, your the first person who's actually seen or heard from me, I can't just walk back in with my guitar and serenade her. Besides, David and Snow probably hate me and are glad I'm gone." I sighed and rubbed my head, running my hands through my untamed flock of hair.
"Actually, that's where your wrong," I turned my head to look at her, in a attempt to interrupt until she stopped me. "They sent me to find you. They were worried and they couldn't leave Emma so I was the next best thing." The words couldn't catch up with my head. They were worried? They're not angry? What? How?
"I can tell that your shocked pirate but they want you back, Emma needs you back, so you better come or I'll drag you off this ship and throw you in David's truck myself." I laughed at her remark of defence. "Don't think I'm lying pirate. Now," she attempted to keep her laugh inside, "get your but off this boat."
I nodded my head as she stood up, patting me on the back as I zipped my guitar in it's black leather case and the piece of paper out the drawer aswell, grabbing the rest of my stuff before swinging it over my back. "Let's get out of here." I looked over at Regina as she went infront of me on the steps, not before another quick remark.
"Did I tell you that you stink?" I laughed as she held her nose in a comical expression and shoved her up the stairs, right of the Jolly Roger as we made our way to the hospital, finally on our way back to Emma.
David's POV:
I looked over at Snow as she adjusted Emma's hospital gown and pulled her hair into a loose pony tail, tucking that into the blue hat given to use by the hospital, then readjusting her oxygen lines. "He's not coming is he?"
I sighed as I leant out the window, watching the streets of Storybrooke. "We still have ten minutes." I watched as Snow readjusted her mask covering her mouth before doing the same to me, after walking over. "He'll be here, you know he will." She pulled me into a tight hug and stood by the window with me.
"He'll be here, you know he will. And if he isn't, then we're here and that's all that matters. But I'm sure he will. I'm positive." I attempted to plaster a smile across my face as I carried on looking out the window, towards the road, right where to Regina took my truck from less than an hour before.
Killians POV:
"Regina come on hurry up!" I jumped out the truck, parked as far as possible away from the hospital. "It's not my fault the whole village decided to park all the way around the hospital to get to that village fete thing is it?" She stomped after me. "Besides who decided to hold a fete? It's pathetic!" I rolled my eyes at her fiftieth remark of the day. "Incase you didn't realise Madame Mayor, that your the Mayor so you should have a part in these events? Am I right?" I turned my head to adknowledge the rememberence cast across her face.
"Oh! I remember! It's the annual cat festival!" I carried on walking until she mentioned this part, confused but not at all surprised. Only Regina would make a festival and then completely forget about it because of how ridiculous it is. "So the mayor has a brain, good to know!" I sighed and held in my laughter before swinging the bags over my shoulder once again, making my way into the hospital corridor.
"Hey! Don't be rude pirate it's not my fault I forgot about the cats!" I held in my laughter.
